If it's your birthday, don't forget to mention it, you will have a complimentary birthday cake with candles and the staff sing 'Happy Birthday' to you as well.
If you can't finish your meal, the portions are rather generous, no worries, they will pack it up in take-away containers free of charge.
Take-aways are available too with a home delivery service. These can be a bit pricey too. After ordering for two persons the bill was £32!
I certainly would give this restaurant 9/10 because the tables are a bit crammed in and there is no intimate seating.
Advantages: great enjoyable seighseeing Disadvantages: some site is not well managed
The SummerPalace (Yiheyuan) was a very interesting place. The view just too good to be true, water of Kunming lake so clean and wide, and air is so fresh, for it's placed in Wanshou mountains. This palace was very large area, so you cant go inside and look everything here in just one day. The first visit from morning until dark you just see 1/5 area, for you have to walk non stop.
While you walk, the most often you will see is the hand painting ceilings and pillar, colored with red, blue, green, and with, sometimes gold. Gold color means king colors. Just king's stuff that using gold color.
So if wan to visit this place, plan visit it in several days, not just one day. ...

Giggle, giggle, chattter, chatter and lots of pointing.
We were the centre of attraction for the hordes of little Chinese school children as they walked in orderly fashion around the SummerPalace, near Beijing in China.
This was the first time I realised we were foreigners in their country. The little ones, were very amused at our small party of three Kiwi's (New Zealanders) and they showed us in no uncertain terms that we were a bit of a rarity when we visited, to learn more about their Chinese rulers' way of life.
The SummerPalace is an attraction where being fit and able to walk long distances is definitely a bonus. It is spread out around huge Kunming Lake with the most beautiful ornamental 18-arch bridge, temples and palaces.
Hearing the names of the SummerPalace, Imperial Garden's features is enough to describe ...

The Plas Hafod is a small hotel situated in the small village of Gwernymynydd just outside the county town of Mold, Flintshire. Plas Hafod translated into English is SummerPalace. An appropriate name for the hotel with its ample conservatories (dining rooms) and the large glass topped pavilion (dining room / wedding suite / conference facility) producing a bright and airy atmosphere all year round. The hotel is also nestled within nine acres of landscaped gardens ? at their best in the summer.
I was prompted to write this review following attendance at a recent training day. My employers regularly use the hotel for training purposes ? popular due to good service they offer and the reasonable rate charged. As a team, we have also used the hotel for our Christmas party for the past three years staying overnight in their luxurious ...
