THE CHERRY TREE HOTEL, PAIGNTON ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Cherry Tree Hotel 10-11 Esplanade Road Paignton Devon TQ4 6EB ARRIVAL AND CHECK IN ' We arrived on Saturday morning 12th August 2006 at around 11am and although you are not able to book in until 2pm, the staff at the hotel are fantastic. They gave us the parking permit and told us we could come back at 12.30pm, as the room would be ready then. We parked up and went off for an hour or two around the harbour, which is situated about two minutes walk from the hotel. The staff are very warm and friendly and the overall appearance of the reception area is very clean, tidy and well maintained. NUMBER OF ROOMS AND PRICE GUIDE ...

Review of The Cherry Tree Hotel, Paignton

Paignton : )

Advantages: Easy to find your way round, sea air, lots of pubs lol
Disadvantages: Gets busy, seagulls, sometimes expensive

Paignton is situated in Torbay between Brixham and Torquay. It?s a busy wee town with plenty to do, it has a quaint charm and is easy to find your way round. A favorite holiday venue particularly with the older generation most people are very friendly. There are many different types of accommodation available in the area. If you?re planning on exploring the whole of Devon having a car is a major advantage but public transport is very good for tourists. But parking is a major problem around Paignton, there are car parks but they get pricey. Shops The London Camera Exchange on Hyde road is a must for any tourist who has forgot there camera or needs a new SD card. The staff are all friendly and know what their talking about, they don?t try and push an un-needed sale upon you like so many shops. The Celtic Bookshop also on Hyde ...

Review of Paignton

Hotel room and decorative order was poor.

Advantages: Location; Free car car Parking. Staff
Disadvantages: Everything Else

The Esplanade Hotel in Paignton in Devon has some good points and some awful ones.It is a two star hotel and it was probably built in the early 1900's. The best way for us to present our review is in sections. THE ROOM. It was very small with a microscopic bathroom with no daylight. The hand basin was tiny , a shower you could not move in and no bath. There was tea and coffee making facilities and a television. No view from the window as we were out the side of the hotel overlooking a flat roof. The beds were uncomfortable and in urgent need of replacement. The paint was very faded and the wallpaper had started peeling off the walls. CLEANING. Cleaning was done daily but to a low standard. Bits of paper on the floor were there when we arrived and the same bits remained when we left. We do not think the duster made more than a brief ...
