One of the best theme parks for younger children this place is so magical especially at christmas, with so much to do.My older children are teenagers and cant wait to use my toddler son as an excuse to visit again, the santa ride is a must for children and adults alike. The park is spread over a large area but you dont notice how far you walk as there is so much to see and do, we particularly like the santa ride(the little mice on the way through are really sweet, not real I may add but like sylvanian families in real life setups) you really need to see this.We also like the soft play area indoors,a jungle area for older ones, bouncy castles, soft areas for tinies,a cafe for adults. There are lots of live shows to see, a runaway train, fort area, plenty of park areas, a tractor ride the list is endless. There are cafes dotted around but plenty of picnic areas too.At Christmas children can visit Santa (a small extra charge is payable around £2.00 per child)and recieve a present, these are really decent gifts, when we took our children a few years ago they asked my daughter what she wanted she said a pram so they changed what they were going to give her and when she opened the present she had a beautiful doll, she was overjoyed, shows they were really listening. The toilets and baby changing facilities are very good to say they are so well used, the only problem I encountered was the cafes serve a lot of processed food, all chips, burgers and nuggets ,shame there isnt more variety, there were also quite a few wasps around the cafes but it was a hot day there were cittrus things round but they didnt make much difference. There are some queues but they move fairly quickly and there is so much to see you dont really notice them. There is a really nice gift shop not too far from the entrance with lots of things at pocket money prices. The entrance fee is £8.50 per person with under 2 admitted free.Sundown Adventureland is located at Rampton near Retford,North Nottinghamshire.
