Sundown Adventureland is a childrens theme park in Nottinghamshire. Its about 30 minutes down the road from where I live in Doncaster. It used to be known as Pets Corner and although I can't remember, I believe I went on a school trip as a kid. A friend of mine told me about how she used to take her daughter there every Christmas to see Santa and how its a great place for the kids. I put it to the back of my mind until I found myself with kids and in need of somewhere to take them on a Bank Holiday Monday.
Since that first visit we have returned to the park a further 3 times and although I could walk round with my eyes shut the kids still find it great every time.

dubiously not mentioned on their website, but a number 92 bus does go there and so if you are relying on public transport I would advise you call the park on 01777 248274 to enquire.
We visited this time near to Christmas Time and the atmosphere was quite special, with a Father (& Mother) Christmas visit in with part of the deal. Under 2's are free with an £8.50 per person entrance price otherwise. Santa was well positioned near to the entrance so we visited him first and it was nice to see that some thought had gone into the presentation of his hut. Mum & Dad had a comfy sofa to sit on, whilst Santa Clause non-discreetly asked what our daughter wanted for Christmas from him while posing for a photo and handing her a wrapped gift. It was a nice start to the day.
