Sunmarotel Miramare Beach, Corfu

Advantages: Friendly, close to everything, clear waters
Disadvantages: Shingle beach

...Now as I mentioned in another review, I've been visiting Corfu since 2004, three times in Ipsos and once in Kavos, and I must say I definetly prefer Ipsos, it's still lively-ish but definetly more chilled out and calmer, with less madness going on! I'm going to write this review about Ipsos beach and its surrounding area, all the things within a 10 minute walk... * THE BEACH * Now since the review is the beach it's probably a good thing to start with the beach itself!! Ipsos has a long shingle beach, but don't let that put you off too much, surely it's all the better as your don't get sandy feet or sand in your clothes after a long session of hopping from water to shore. There are sunbeds out and avaliable to hire daily on the Ipsos beach and are ok priced - six euros per bed, and you usually get an umbrella in the middle... Read review

Advantages: Amazing, relazing, beautiful.
Disadvantages: Some parts are very chavvy and "english"

...many peoples idea of heaven, but to me and my family, iy was the complete opposite, and we were so lucky to be staying somewhere that was very Greek, the tavernas sold some "English" food, but were prodominantly Greek, and didn't play on serving English food to tourists, or showing "football", but were real Greek establishments run by real Greek people. We swiftly left those places, and then found a little place called Old Perithia, I was only around 14 at the time, and so I must admit I wanted to go the beach, and waterparks again, but now looking back, it was possibly the most beautiful place I have ever seen, it was pretty much a ghost town, in the 14th Century, the people of Corfu were scared of been raided by Pirates and so they had moved up to the mountains and Old Perithia and the likes, but then when the threat was no longer... Advantages: Good location, clean, good standard of accommodation, child friendly
Disadvantages: Can get very quiet, less facilites available in the winter

...Recently renovated and located right on the beach, the Atlantica Miramare offers good standard 4 star accommoadtion. It is located ina quiet position off the main tourist strip in Limassol so you are never far from nightlife if you want it. There are some really good facilities within the hotel and grounds, tennis court, water sports, spa, gym, sauna, childrens facilities such as a regular acitvity programme and childrens meals, playroom and babysitting service. There is also a regular day and evening entertainment programme for those who like a more active holiday. There is a good choice of accommodation from family rooms that sleep 2 adults and 2 children comfortably to luxury suites. Nice relaxed atmosphere, fantastic pool area and generally friendly staff.
