about anything - not that everything is 100% to everyone so I will list some pointers of what we thought (2 couples 30's).
  • Rooms large clean all looking over the pool some with seaveiws, lovely bathrooms possibly the biggest rooms we have seen.
  • Baggage - they have little roads at each side so they drive you bags down out of site so no noisey bags wheeling up and down - clever.
  • Lobby bar best cocktails and alcohol in glasses.
  • Victoria bar could be great but its never got many people in. Think this is supposed to be a brit type bar?
  • If Thomas Cook ask for imported spirits the local vodka and gin are horrid get Russian Vodka or Gordons Gin
  • Wine all nice
  • All a la carte restaraunts good in order of our ratings
    1) Asian (book in tex mex day before)
    2) Oriental just arrive has entertainment
    3) Mexican (book in tex mex day before)
    4) Italian just arrive - bit like ping meals :0(

*Buffet restaurant great at lunch, busy in the evening but lots of choice, we only ate evening meal once the rest of the week we ate a la carte and most lunches had pizza or sandwich by the pool.*Seems lots of water features have dried up of been drained which makes it look unfinished in places, will be nice when they fill them all up.

Beach - was not impressed good for families maybe ?

*Shopping - go outside the hotel theres Sunrise mall to left and Pick Albertros to the right - go Right the first shop Cleopatra is great fixed price no haggle one stop shop - I do like a haggle too thou so look at them all.

Service was excellent all week, weather was hot as expected and theres plenty to keep you busy for a week or two, we went to relax and deff did that.

Also Surise Gardens is right next door and looks more estabilshed so if its cheaper stay there as you can use both hotels so save some cash.

Highly recc trip to Hurghada Marina we got a minibus for 60epds (approx 8pds) return. Very classy and no hassle lovely to relax and watch the boats mooring we ate in the large Indian and food is 5*.

Also booked snorkle trip to Paradise Island which was OK - heard one family paid £13 each and I had paid £30 booking online at home so maybe worth a trip to Hurghada to get £13 if family !! (£50 TC)

Been to Luxor 10 yrs ago on Nile Cruise and a week in Luxor which was great and authentic, nothing prepared me for Sharm in xmas 2007 swore Id never go to Egypt again as I really disliked it especially Nama Bay , but our friends insisted on a easy Egypt and we picked Hurghada- good choice.

So pleased we did as Hurghada was a lovely place nothing like Sharm in my opinion. We didnt really experience any hassle like you expect in Egypt although there is lots of building work the place is clean and I hope they keep it this way.

Too many places in the world to see to say I will return as I never go to the same place twice but would highly reccomend to anyone wanting a good hassle free Egypt holiday.

Tipping we did as they desevered it but I never once felt I had to not even with the porters staff always grateful to get tips but never waiting for them.

As a well travelled group we were prepared with a case of Imodium (Egypt famous for bad tummys) - None of us were ill all week, one of us a little bit on the last day but what do you expect hot sun too much food and too much drink - its not the foods fault !!!

Egg and Chips - stick to Spain
