Advantages: Paradise Island Disadvantages: Staying Too Long
Experience
I will write about Nassau New Providence where I lived during 8 month.
The following is my own experience as an inhabitant 100% true without any frills.
Are you ready? Fasten your seat belts I warn you!
But before we go I have to explain certain details. We lived in Madrid for six years, thinking of staying, after having built our own house, we did order 18 months before, a car. Madrid is very cold in winter and we asked as an extra, an ice detector. One week after receiving the famous car we left for the Bahamas!!! Ice detector? ? what a laugh !!!
Anyway it was a super car. I remember when I started the engine it sounded more like the roar of a powerboat than a car. I named it Batmobile.
☼ Departure
We are now in November, end of rainy season. House has been sold with all furniture, machines etc, suitcases densely ...
Advantages: fantastic place to go Disadvantages: none
I was lucky enough to go to the Bahamas on holiday in April 2008. In our party there were 3 children and 3 adults.
We arrived at the airport to be met by a limousine, we were driven to The Atlantis hotel on Paradise Island?wow what a place. We were able to have a good look round whilst in the Limo, the weather was beautiful and when we arrived at the Hotel, you could see why it was called Paradise!!
The hotel was enormous; it had lots of different sections. There is the Royal Towers, Imperial club, Coral Towers, Beach Towers, The Cove Atlantis, The Reef Atlantis, Harbour side Resort, and Special.
We stayed in the Coral towers. Our room was large with 2 double beds in. It had a full stocked bar, which was checked daily and re-stocked?..beware, very expensive!
There was a large mirrored wardrobe and plenty of drawer space ...
Advantages: Beautiful Beaches Disadvantages: Its so hot!!!
In September 02 me and my now husband Nick went on holiday to the Bahamas to get married. We went for two weeks for fun in the sun, and thats exactley what we got. The hotel we stayed at was fantastic!
Our hotel was SUPERCLUB BREEZES on Cable Beach. It was situated right on the beach (which was private) but the main road right outside took you straight into nassau - there was a bus literally ever minute and it was onle $1 flat fare!
This hotel had everything you would want to do - that you could do - all in an extremely relaxed and friendly atmosphere! These included:
Basketball
Volleyball
Water Volleyball
Tennis
Rockclimbing
Trapeze
Trampolining
Bike rides
Pool
Board games
Windsurfing
Kayaking
Sailing
Motorised sports (these were not included in holiday package)
2 Pools - and a Jacuzzi also (including poolside ...
