Pine Lake is part of Diamond Resort, a leisure company of whom I am a member, so I use the facilities here a lot - my grandkids love it!! Pine Lake is a complex a series of wooden lodges by the side of Pine Lake in Carnforth, Lancashire . It is three miles from Morecambe Bay and 19 miles from Preston and very close to the beautiful Lake District. Floating on Lake Titicaca

Advantages: Being invited to visit authentic local people
Disadvantages: Our visits could spoil the Lake for the local people in time

this area as well as from the main lake. Nowadays the majority of these floating islands make money from tourism and selling their souvenirs to tourists. There are a few island groups who do not want to be visited by tourists and they have built their islands away from the main group and they are left to their own devices. The majority of island families welcome tourists and put on a little welcome singing performance before showing you their houses and how they live, cook etc. Then you are invited to purchase they hand made embroidery and other souvenirs at reasonable prices. This is how they earn their living in these times to supplement their own fishing and reed harvesting. Advantages: All the features of the iphone but without the massive price tag

require to browse on the move. It allows cookies and javascript to run and allows you to have upto 8 browser windows open at a time. The touch comes with its own Youtube application which allows you to watch videos without the need to use the Safari browser. Google maps is another standard feature which is great if you are lost as (with the aid of a wireless signal) you can pinpoint your exact location which I must admit I find fascinating. Zooming in on the maps is simple too, by placing your thump and forefinger of the screen and then pulling them apart will zoom the map. Also pushing these fingers together will zoom the map out. This functionality can also be used in the Safari browser.
