A Native's View in a Long Review - Long Island

Advantages: Diverse, not NYC, interesting places, reasonably easy to get to
Disadvantages: The accent. There are areas of limited interest and economic hardship

Are you from abroad...or at least from far away? Are you visiting New York City? I suspect you are planning on visiting shops, museums, tall buildings, and maybe even a big statue of a lady holding a torch. It is, however, entirely possible, that unless you have friends there, the suburbs on Long Island are not part of your plans. But perhaps they should be. Burcliffe-by-the-sea, Long Island NY

Advantages: peaceful, pretty and warm.
Disadvantages: Lot of the sales people in the outlet malls speak very little English

a shark, luckily we only got flounders and star fish. It really is a long island but each place is very different so it can take a while to travel along it. One time we were driving along and came across a huge duck. It was actually a shop, completely duck shaped. You just have to stop and investigate. And for all you Anne of Green Gables fans - there really is a "Ladies Village improvement society" On the down side, although there are trains and buses you really need a car unless you are content to spend the entire time on the beach or get a taxi to the train and bus stations.. The beach is quiet - no vendors, deck chairs or anything (can be an advantage as well) Big 4 X 4 trucks charging along the road as they owned it (probably they do) It is a long ride into New York City - 3-4 hours depending on mode of transport. Ipod Touch 8Gb with engraving

Advantages: All the features of the iphone but without the massive price tag
Disadvantages: battery life could be better

--Background-- I bought the iPod touch for my son for his 10th birthday. Before he alerted me to the item I knew nothing at all about it. Having played around with it for a few hours, I can now see what all the fuss is about as this item is so addictive. The touch comes in 3 guises, namely 8Gb, 16Gb and 32Gb versions. These are all identical apart from, obviously the storage capacity. --In the box-- I must admit that then the box came, I thought half the order had been missed as it is minute! Along with the ipod itself, you get the headphones, a usb to pc charger and a quick setup guide. Although this seem very little, it is actually enough to get you up and running in next to no time.
