I am impressed with surabaya that is a city close to the sea a distance of about 5 km. When you come here you are, the transportation is complete enough and cheap. In fact, if you liked to walk you will find some places Dutch era relic. You can find a red bridge (jembatan merah) in the area. If you are tired to walk (I suggest you try to walk in the evening) you should get ready to spend money in your pocket to invade a variety of food provided at the red bridge. Since starting the evening you will be presented with KIA KIA market, a food market at night. I also want to tell you about a typical food in this city. Pohong keju name. What is it? Pohong means cassava while keju is chesse . The way to make it is cheese cooked with the soaking of cassava or pohong into the liquid filled with melted butter then fried dry. So you will feel a fried cassava very tasteless cheese. Come to Surabaya

I lived in Jakarta for a year and found the transprot was really bad, you had to speak the language and learn to shout at drivers who decided to change their route half way, thus missing out streets that you needed. Never got to Surabaya though
