The beach at Abersoch irseld (neither of them) is any good for surfing. However, the beach of Hells Mouth (Porth Neigl) just a little further along the Llyen Peninsula can be really good. As can Porth Ceriad, althought he latter is probably better only for the more experienced. The beaches at abersoch are good for windsuring though, especially flat water blasting in relatively safe conditions. As far as windsurfing goes, then car parking on the beach in Abersoch is a problem...you have to pay to use the large car park just behind the beach and carry your equipment to the beach tself. The same is true at Hells Mouth, but neither are too far from the beach... All in all, a nice place to visit. but not really the surf capital of the UK.. It can and does get good conditions, but is rarely epic...Consistentcy isn't really its strong point.
