...strange and of superficial appeal, but combined with spices and rices and breads in the subtlest of combinations, it is anything but. It simply reflects the origin of the cuisine. Kerala is a lush green state on the south west coast of India, with palm trees and coconuts and bananas aplenty. The beaches immediately conjure Bounty adverts, reminding me that Columbus thought he'd arrived in India when he reached the Caribbean. They do of course cultivate lots of vegetables and other staples, but fruit is a key element of the Keralan food chain.
After eating our starters and mains, to wash it all down we sometimes drink Cobra beer, but more often lassi, the Indian yoghurt drink. Usually spicy lassi, which we used to think incomparably better than salt lassi available elsewhere: it's still very good, but the competition has improved a lot...

...frequented by tourists given extra protection and more frequent vehicle inspections and surveillance. Several people have been arrested and charged with carrying out the bombings, including the man who masterminded the whole thing, Imam Samudra, who has confessed and been given the death sentence.
There are loads of good deals to be had in Bali at the moment, you won’t find them through British travel agents but if you contact Bali hotels directly, or look at Indonesian based websites you’ll find some great deals on hotel rooms, most offering at least a 50% discount. Bali still has lots to offer be it diving, snorkelling, shopping, swimming, drinking, eating, visiting the temples, beaches, mountains and forests, watching the endless fascinating Hindu ceremonies or just enjoying the sunshine.
I urge you to go back to Bali!...

...Sutton on Sea is situated in an unhurried, peacfull area of Lincolnshire. It has wide sandy beaches, and attractive gardens. Fcailities in the gardens include bowles, crazy golf, putting, and a popular paddling pool. Donkey rides and an 18 hole golf course are also available. A gentle stroll through the quiet streets reveals shops selling locally made arts and crafts. There are also excellent launch facilities for both sailboards and small biats, as well as safe bathing for children. A life gaurd operates during the summer season and dogs are banned from the beach between May and September....
