Advantages: Close to town centre and market Disadvantages: not allowed own drink into rooms. No air conditioning
It was last year that my wife and I stayed here. The hotel name was in Turkish which was called "The Kirlangic". This means swallow.
The Hotel sits on the main road into the town and right opposite one of the entrances to the market which is on every Monday. So if you have a room facing the road you will be awake early (4 oclock ish). At the time only some rooms had air conditioning. The rooms are small in comparison to a lot of hotels in the area but you only sleep in then anyway. They are clean and fresh.
I found the staff friendly, even more so if you speak a bit of Turkish (but dont let them know its only a few words, it keeps then on thier toes) they feel you are making an effort. You are close to all the bars and shops where you need a good haggling technique.
The grounds of the hotel has a pool which is big enough to ...
Advantages: Great Food, Family Friendly, Relaxed atmosphere, Great Value. Disadvantages: Not very appealing from the exterior
The Glasgow Swallow is a well equipped comfortable and friendly Hotel, located a short distance outside the city centre but in an area with some of Glasgow's best attractions. It is an excellent choice for families and great value for money.
I have been to the Swallow in Glasgow with my family many times. From the outside the hotel is quite unimpressive, inside is a different story. It is well decorated and well laid out. As you walk in the door you have a reception desk in front of you, the dining room, bar and lounge to the left and lift, stairs to rooms and ballroom to the right. The main entrance has a small fountain, disabled access and is under an overhead walkway. Opposite the main door is the entrance to the leisure suite, which has a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and small gym. The leisure suite also provides beauty treatments, so ...
****Royal StationHotel-Newcastle****
Initially my friend and i booked into a Travelodge but we decided very quickly that we needed another hotel and this is the one we ended up staying in.
**Location/Getting there**
This hotel is located right next to the train station which is fantastic, nothing worse than a long journey followed by having to find a hotel. There is loads of places to eat nearby, plenty to see and do.The bus station is also quite nearby and would take about 10 minutes to walk too.
**Reception/staff**
The hotel looks really nice from the outside-a grand looking building.Reception looks really nice with big chandlers hanging from the ceiling and there are two lifts.Staff were nice and i had the option of paying straight away or when i checked out.
**Hotel/Room**
The room i stayed in was a twin room and it had ...
