Advantages: Wonderful, gorgeous scenery Disadvantages: Nightlife is pretty quiet
...they once held - I saw one for an inn dating back to the 1600s.
All this is located in a fairly small place, and was filled with tour groups when we were there. Added to this is the associated tourist trap essentials - tacky souvenir shops, expensive restaurants and little room to move.
However, there are plenty of things to do outside this area. You have the Alpenzoo, which can either be accessed by walking up a hill or taking a cable car (which is more fun, I ask?). The zoo contains a wide variety of species and cost about £6-8 for entry. A few enclosures were under development when we visited.
If you travel by bus to Wattens (£4), which is about half an hour away, you can visit the SwarovskiCrystalWorlds - home of the world's most exquisite and expensive crystal. They try to set it up as an attraction, but fail miserably. You pay about £6...

Advantages: Cosy, welcoming, great staff Disadvantages: Food
.... On that first night, a busload of young Americans came to the hotel for dinner in a private function room and then came into the bar - that certainly livened the place up! The bar was reasonably priced and well stocked with plenty of seats for all.
Breakfast the next morning was your normal continental style buffet with some hot eggs and sausages. I managed fine with toast and cheese and plenty of strong coffee!
Nearby attractions include the centre of Innsbruck itself with its places of interest including Helblinghaus, the Hofburg, the city-tower, the Ottoburg, The Swarovski Museum and shops, the dome of St. Jacob, the Landestheater and the Royal Church. Attractions within reach of Innsbruck itself include the Swarovski Crystalworld. We visited the Crystalworld and can thoroughly recommend it, its about 1 hours bus drive from the train station...

Advantages: clean, plenty to see & do, lots of history Disadvantages: none
...I visited Innsbruck on three consecutive years, on holidays that were based in Lermoos in the Austrian Tirol. Innsbruck is a lovely city & well worth a visit. When we went there, it was very clean, the cafes were nice, the people were friendly & there were plenty of things to see & do. The city was the venue for two Olympic Games & they have a museum to commemorate those events, which is worth seeing. There are some great shops too, nice walks & parks & you can go round the city on a horse-drawn carriage trip. Innsbruck is a lovely place & part of a beautiful country. Highly recommended....

This is a brilliant film. I can not recommend it strongly enough. In a far away land live the peace loving mystics and the violent skegsies. Two opposing races whose fate is wrapped up in the dark crystal, Jen is the last of his gelfling kind and has his more
