Taronga Zoo

Advantages: Read Opp
Disadvantages: None

...is on my visit to Taronga City Zoo, which is located in Sydney Australia. I had heard some great reviews about the Zoo, and was told if your ever going to Sydney its one of the best places to visits in terms of finding out about the local wildlife which is indigenous to that part of the World. I was truly amazed, I have been to a lot of Zoo’s around the world, however I found the zoo, more exotic and exciting to visits and this however could be because ...
...and full of kids. The Taronga Food Market is a simple and convenient food hut, were you can pick up easy and quick food such as burgers and pizzas, chips, hot dogs to name just a few. For alcohol you can visit the local licensed Café, which offers some cold beverages, which go down very well on a very hot summer’s day. The local zoo shop is also there for visitors for people to purchase some great gifts that they can take back with them; these include ...

Martin Where?????

Advantages: Central to Sydney, Easy to get to
Disadvantages: Nothing really to do

Martin Place is easy to get to by bus or train and is in walking distance of everywhere in central Sydney. However there is not really anything to do. Its more of a business area than anything else.It is useful to know that most of the international embassy's are located here, just in case you get into trouble. The area is rammed during morning and evening 'rush hour' and full of suits all barging each other out of the way to get to and from the ...
...the area and those that are there are all busy at lunch time and after work, but become dead at all other times of the day and weekends. It is a good place to work though, because you are near all the shops to do some retail therapy in your lunch break if you need to and it has the best food court in Sydney. The food court is quite big and has such a range of hot and cold food. Some of it is expensive but there are shops to suit all budgets. Again, ...

And Then I Kneed Mr Big In The Balls…

Advantages: Interesting arrangement (man made for the Olympics), not too far to get to, or too expensive
Disadvantages: The trip you get depends on your raft leader and raft mates, over which you have little control

...go White Water Rafting. Penrith is home to a set of man-made rapids, created especially for the Kayak event at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. It's an hour from Sydney by train, and is close to the edge of the Blue Mountains. Penrith itself, however, is not very picturesque. In fact, the main thing we concluded from out brief visit is that it's where old shopping trolleys come to die: there were literally dozens of them randomly discarded on the streets ...
...some time. Trains to Penrith run regularly from Sydney and take between 50 mins and 1hr 10 mins. We caught a taxi from the station there to the stadium ($13 = 5.50 GBP) as public transport links are virtually non-existent, though we ended up walking back afterwards as there were no taxis in site and we thought we might find one if we started walking. 2.5 km later we were back at the station, a bit tired but feeling like we'd earned the ice cream ...

Fox Studios

Advantages: Lots of restaurants
Disadvantages: Lots of people

...go all the time to Fox Studios for dinner and a movie.. Bay Swiss has a store there, which sells their great homewares and also has a cafe with OK priced food and a good friendly atmosphere. There is also a pub (the fox and lion) which has an outdoor seating area, as well as an indoor area. There are around a dozen cafes, bars and restaurants. Right up the end of Fox Studios (on Bent Street, the main strip) are a few virtual rides, no doubt left ...
...In the area behind Fox has some studios that are used, but you cant get into that area, unsuprisingly its not open to the public! Cinemas are decent sized and quite big for Sydney so there is always something on there, and usually something you want to see! The cinema there is a Hoyts Cinema. There are quite a few clothing stores at Fox, not your cheap ones but nothing overly expensive. There is a book store and the studios for a TV music show (for ...

Sydney's Star City buffet breakfasts a good bet

Advantages: Food was excellent, great city views and well-equipped gym
Disadvantages: Casino a bit drab, but is being upgraded.

...August 2008) at the glittering Star City Casino Hotel, located in Pyrmont, an inner city suburb of Sydney Australia. Previous reviews of this hotel have only really described the casino area, but you can have a great time staying here even if you aren't into gambling, because there's lots of places to eat and things to see and do. Also I took a few photos at the hotel, and readers may be interested in these. Good points were as follows. Excellent ...
...about waiting. RESTAURANTS AT STAR CITY The hotel (five star) has a range of restaurants. I dined at the Lotus Pond Chinese restaurant and found the food excellent ( I had stirfry prawns and rice plus vegetables). It was artistically arranged on the plate. The ambience was good, and the waitress helpful. The decor in the restaurant was charmingly Oriental with a kind of an elevated dining area with a moat around it, lanterns, soft lights and helpful ...
