A Real Walk on the Wild Side!
Review of Taronga Zoo, Sydney by Hypernation

Advantages: Huge, caters for all, rich experience, great location, educational
Disadvantages: none at all - a must for all!

----Overview---- Taronga Zoo is Sydney's centrally located animal park. It is not to be confused with Taronga Great Western Plains Zoo, which is located far away in Dubbo. These Zoos and the Taronga Conservation Society all come under the Taronga parent organisation, and all three sites can be accessed via http://www.taronga.org.au/. Taronga Zoo boasts the most diverse range of wildlife from around the world in all of Australia, including a very ...
...writing. ----Location---- The name Taronga is an Aboriginal word meaning beautiful view. With the recent introduction of Google Street View in Sydney (and the rest of Australia,) you can judge for yourself why this rings particularly true. Follow this link for an example of the view from the area where Taronga is located. The below link should open the Street view of the Harbour Bridge and the Skyline. http://snipurl.com/3bjtw The zoo is a huge ... Read review

sydney harbour bridge
Review of Sydney Harbour Bridge by tigerlilli

Advantages: everything!
Disadvantages: you cant take your camera up there

wow! I would recommend goin to see this to everyone! it's the most increible place! and you have to do the bridge walk! by day the view is incredible, you can see for miles! and by night the view of all the lights is just the most incredible sight you could ever imagine! It doesn't cost as much as i though it would, i think it worked out $75 but is totally worth it! you get to wear these crazy suits which are quite funny, and you get tour bridge ...
...all the different building and attractions that you can see when your up there. Its abit of a shame that you can't take your own camera up there, but its because of health and safety, imagine if you dropped it! there are cars under you! for those of you that are scared of heights, don't worry, so am I! you don't really even notice the height! ... Not a bridge too far.
Review of Sydney Harbour Bridge by manimal

Advantages: Excellent views, nice easy climb.
Disadvantages: Could book on a day with bad weather.

...him we were going to Sydney and his first response was to tell me to try the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb. After arriving in Sydney I asked my girlfriend Lucy when we are going to book it. She wasn't keen but I argued with her that it was something we would probably never get to do again. After about 3 days she finally agreed. We made our way down to The Rocks district of Sydney which is across the harbour from the opera house and where the booking ...
...you visit Sydney and don't do the climb you have missed out. It is well worth the money you pay. The staff are all friendly and helpful, and the whole set-up is extremely professional. I only hope I go back to Sydney one day so I can do it again. ... Read review

Star City a bit of a disappointment
Review of Star City Casino by legal_angel25

Advantages: Looks nice, has a theatre
Disadvantages: No decent machines and crowded

...be honest, I found the Star City Casino in Sydney a bit of a disappointment. We went to Vegas a couple of years ago so I was getting ready to try my luck with video blackjack (my forté or weakness - however you see it!) When we got there, the place is impressive, lots of flashy lights and water fountains etc. but the casino itself was simply filled with row upon row of the same one-armed bandit-type machines which only the asians appeared to be able ...
...times as I read the rules it made no sense. The tables were crowded and the drinks were expensive. It does have the metrolink light railway station below the ground floor which is very convenient and if you wanted to make a night of it with the theatre then perhaps it might be worth it. But I have to say, given the choice it's Vegas Baby, Vegas. ... Read review

The Opera House
Review of Sydney Opera House by DeniseKelly40

Advantages: Wasn't expensive
Disadvantages: Hour tour wasn't long enough

SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE Sydney Opera house is located on the eastern headland of Circular Quay just a few minutes from the train station. It is made up of 1,056,000 Swedish tiles on the roof, which are off white and are self-cleaning. Construction began in 1959 after a Danish architect Jorn Utzon won an international design competition for the $7 million building. In 1966 Utzon quit after political interference leaving Australian architects to ...
...When I was in Sydney I did a tour of the inside of the Opera House and I felt it was worthwhile as I had went the whole way to Australia I thought it would be a shame to not see the inside. The tour lasted and hour and gave you some history on the building. Short films were played on the walls of the Opera House telling you its story. You got to see inside some of the theatres where shows to suit everyone's taste and age are performed. Shows from ... Read review
