Since I was a teenager I had always wanted to tour Australia, and finally as I hit 18 I booked my first visit to Sydney. From the minute I stepped on Emirates Airlines I was satisfied. It was a fabulous, unforgettable experience.
I flew from London Heathrow to Sydney and spent three weeks staying in Hotel InterContinental Sydney, which was probably the most expensive but luxiourus hotel I have ever stayed in. I spent the first two or three days relaxing at the hotel, going to it's gym, the pool and having a look around the city.
We spent the time looking at the tourist attractions, including The Sydney Opera House, where we dined and watch a production, which was absoultey spectacular, we did a Captain Cook Dinner cruise around the Sydney harbour which had a tasty menu, which we enjoyed and ofcourse I could not leave Sydney without doing BridgeClimb and Sydney Seaplane Safari, which took us up the coast of Sydney and over Palm Beach and Shark Beach.
Throughout our time in Sydney we visited some spectacular beaches, Manly Beach, Palm Beach, Dee Why Beach and Bondi Beach, which were although quite a long journey from the hotel a great experience.
The food and drink in Sydney that we had was delicious, and it was very unique and ended up taking a couple of bottles of Chapman's Rock wine back with because of the taste.
Although a magnificent experience, one thing drew us back and that was all the travelling around to get to different attractions and beaches but nevertheless it was worth it in the end.
And now every year we go back to another state each year. And last year we got back from Queensland- an unforgettable experience.
RECOMMENDATIONS: To fly: Definitely go Emirates - fabulous experience, comfortable seats, good legroom, tasty meals, stop over in Dubai, friendly crew.
Where to go: Sydney Opera House, Captain Cook Cruise, Sydney Seaplane Safari
Best Beaches: Shark Beach, Palm Beach, Manly Beach
The hotel: Hotel InterContinental Sydney - luxurious and very expensive but we splashed out!

Advantages: It's SYDNEY, y'know the one with the opera house and the bridge? Disadvantages: It's a city that not only sleeps but also stops eating hours before bedtime
