The pulse of Sydney!
Review of Travelodge, Sydney by
nat23y
Advantages: Location, Price, facilities
Disadvantages: none
The Travelodge Sydney is one of the best value 3 star hotels in Sydney City Centre. Location
This hotel is perfectly located a stones throw away from the action; a mere block away from Oxford St where you will find funky cafes, restaurants, Sydney's best choice of late bars for the clubbers among you and great shopping.
Other nearby attractions
Pitt Street Mall which is renowned for its shopping is less than a kilometre away as is Darling Harbour, ... ...City Centre isn't really that big so you can get to any of these plus other major attractions by foot although the hotel reception was always happy to book us taxis when we went out at night (and all the cab drivers knew where the hotel was when we were trying to find our way back there after a night out on the champas!)
Location from Airport
The hotel is pretty conveniently located from Sydney International Airport, approximately 20km or 30 mins ...

An Excellent First Class Hotel
Review of Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney by
sjljersey
Advantages: Central Location and Efficient Friendly Staff
Disadvantages: Pricy
...Location
----------
The Sydney Four Seasons hotel is located overlooking the city's famous Rocks district. This gives you very easy access to the ferries which can take you to all the other resorts. It is also a short and pleasant stroll to the famous Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is also close to the city's shopping and business districts.
To reach the hotel from the airport there is a shuttle service for a small fee and it will take ... ...option to have a full four course meal served by a personal waiter in you room. 100% cotton towels are provided and they are massive and along with bathrobes this was very welcome having spent 24 hours on a plane.
The hotel also offers and Executive Club which is located high up in the hotel. For the payment of a small fee guests can have access to a full buffet breakfast, all day drinks and snacks, evening drinks and canapés and a free pressing ...

The place to stay in Sydney
Review of Meriton Rialto Apartments, Sydney by
manimal
Advantages: Clean, excellent service, near to city centre.
Disadvantages: Near very noisy pub, not a great view from apartment.
...other minor fault with the Meriton is we were in a one bedroom apartment but they had placed the beds so that you couldn't close the bedroom door. The location of the hotel was in the centre of the shopping district and to get to the major attractions of Sydney it was a 20-40 minute walk. The facilities in the apartment were excellent and its was very clean with a daily maid service, this covered having your bed made, new towels and replenishment ... ...facilities in the room were excellent. There was the television, fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, dish washer, washer and dryer and an ironing board and iron. There was also a gas hob which i decided not to risk trying.
The apartments were very clean, especially the bathroom which had a sink, shower and toilet and plenty of cupboard space in which to put your toiletries. The cupboards were all mirrored making it easy for me to have ...

Great for a short break
Review of Pacific International Hotel, Sydney by
Joll
Advantages: Close to Central Station and within walking distance of most attractions.
Disadvantages: No views.
My husband and I recently spent four days at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at how near the hotel is to Central Station. There is no need to get a taxi, it took 5 minutes to walk. The hotel is in an old listed building, which is decorated in the Art Deco style. Our room was quite small but was clean and had everything you would expect from a four star hotel. The only downside was that we did not have a view, but this didn't really bother ... ...only came back to sleep.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cooked breakfast was excellent. There is a car park in the basement which we used for one night, at a charge, although the spaces are a little tight. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay there again. Great value for money. ...

Good Value, Comfortable, excellent location
Review of Best Western Hotel Unilodge, Sydney by
legal_angel25
Advantages: Cheap but very cheerful
Disadvantages: rooms are quite small
...said, it is also a Best Western Hotel. Our room was small, but very comfortable and kame with a full-size fridge, microwave, kettle, sink and crockery. Tea and coffee making facilities were refreshed every day and the sheets were always very clean. The shower was excellent also. The hotel has an indoor pool and small gym in the basement and the reception staff were friendly. Don\'t go expecting that your bags will be carried to your room or you\'ll ... ...brisk 10-15 minute walk to Darling Harbour or a short bus/train ride to Circular Quay from Central station which is a 5 minute walk away. For eating out, I would recommend a very short walk around the corner to Glebe Point Road which is filled with every different type of restaurant you could wish for - I would recommend the Vietnamese restaurant Saigon Saigon. The hotel is opposite the Broadway shopping mall which has a supermarket and plethora ...
