...said, it is also a Best Western Hotel. Our room was small, but very comfortable and kame with a full-size fridge, microwave, kettle, sink and crockery. Tea and coffee making facilities were refreshed every day and the sheets were always very clean. The shower was excellent also. ...do you get at the Harbourside Apartments? Well, there are studios, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom flats to choose from. All the 2-bedroom flats have views over the harbour - and the higher the floor you are on, the better the view (from memory, I think there are about 14 floors). I stayed in the York in a serviced apartment in 2002. We had a great view of the city centre from our balcony, the room was HUGE! and also had (as you would expect from they type of room) washing/drying facilities, fully fitted kitchen, the furniture was of a very good standard (the bed was marvellous!) and we had cable TV (not that we watched it much) also it was a quiet room with no noise from other appts. It was the 1st place we stayed in Sydney ...

Disadvantages: Near very noisy pub, not a great view from apartment.

...other minor fault with the Meriton is we were in a one bedroom apartment but they had placed the beds so that you couldn't close the bedroom door. The location of the hotel was in the centre of the shopping district and to get to the major attractions of Sydney it was a 20-40 minute walk. The facilities in the apartment were excellent and its was very clean with a daily maid service, this covered having your bed made, new towels and replenishment ...
...facilities in the room were excellent. There was the television, fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, dish washer, washer and dryer and an ironing board and iron. There was also a gas hob which i decided not to risk trying. The apartments were very clean, especially the bathroom which had a sink, shower and toilet and plenty of cupboard space in which to put your toiletries.
