Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour Advantages: Great location & Proximity to Darling Harbour nightlife & Monorail. Disadvantages: No view of the bridge or opera house. Have stayed at this hotel on 2 occasions & was very impressed, The consierge has all the information you could need & can make bookings for you at very short notice, The staff are all very helpful & the rooms appear to be well maintained. The food is of a very good standard & international. Most of the rooms to the front have good views although you probably wouldnt spend too much time there as there is so much to do in Sydney. Travel..Dodge! Sydney Australia hotels. Advantages: Location and proximity to centre. Disadvantages: Everything about this hotel services. After Traveling around Australia for Months I have stayed in many hotels across the East Coast as you will discover in my Reviews. We had four days in Sydney and booked here! what a mistake. We arrived at the Hotel after traveling from Bribane 2-hours away. We were very tired and wanted to get some sleep after traveling from 4-am we needed a little sleep. Our hotel reservations were to check in early, but to our dismay they didn't acknowledge that and said we were not allowed to check in till 3pm. Go to Sydney, Stay at the InterContinental Advantages: Luxurious rooms, great views, helpful staff, great location Disadvantages: Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. ...useful. Breakfast at the hotel is nice but expensive. Alternatively walk down the hill to Circular Quay and have a full English at one of the Al Fresco cafes, before going for a cruise around Port Jackson, or wherever your fancy takes you. Dinner at the InterContinental is also not cheap, but very good, seafood, steaks, etc., served with a smile, and any quirky extras you may require (Heinz Ketchup, English Mustard, etc.). Great location to explore Sydney Advantages: Location, Large Rooms, Great Views Disadvantages: Very Pricey, Restaurant and Room Service Expensive I stayed at this hotel whilst on a round the world trip in October. The Sheraton Darling Harbour is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from the airport depending on traffic, we had transfers included in our holiday so im not sure how much a cab would cost, but id imagine they have set tariffs from the airport to Sydney itself. This hotel is in a great location just outside the city centre, within 5 minutes walking distance and is situated directly ... ...situated a very short walk away if you didnt fancy the 5 minute walk into the centre. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. There is a daily maid service and I found all staff to be courteous and polite. The bathroom was large, clean and well maintained. There is no pool at this hotel which was a shame, but there is a gym and a nice restaurant located off the main foyer.
