Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour

Advantages: Great location & Proximity to Darling Harbour nightlife & Monorail.
Disadvantages: No view of the bridge or opera house.

Have stayed at this hotel on 2 occasions & was very impressed, The consierge has all the information you could need & can make bookings for you at very short notice, The staff are all very helpful & the rooms appear to be well maintained. The food is of a very good standard & international. Most of the rooms to the front have good views although you probably wouldnt spend too much time there as there is so much to do in Sydney. Go to Sydney, Stay at the InterContinental

Advantages: Luxurious rooms, great views, helpful staff, great location
Disadvantages: Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Great location to explore Sydney

Advantages: Location, Large Rooms, Great Views
Disadvantages: Very Pricey, Restaurant and Room Service Expensive

I stayed at this hotel whilst on a round the world trip in October. The Sheraton Darling Harbour is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from the airport depending on traffic, we had transfers included in our holiday so im not sure how much a cab would cost, but id imagine they have set tariffs from the airport to Sydney itself. There is a daily maid service and I found all staff to be courteous and polite. The bathroom was large, clean and well maintained. Great stay in a Sofitel

Advantages: Lovley room, great value room service, central location
Disadvantages: Bath was to small, Price

...in any hotel room. In Sofitel rooms you slept with a duvet underneath you as well as on top. This helps make it extra comfy. One thing I also find in hotels is that you don't always get enough pillows and have to call and wait a long time to get a couple of extra ones, However the extra pillows were there waiting for us in the wardrobe upon arrival.
