Szentendre (Hungary)

My boyfriend and i visited this village in December and loved the experience. We did not go as part of an organised tour as we found that it was fairly easy to get to from Budapest, even if you don't speak Hungarian. We spent half a day in the village looking round and the shops, walking round the surrounding area and visiting bars and restaurants. It is slightly touristy but then that is only to be expected as coach loads of tourists do visit the village. There are great shops where you can buy unusual souveniers but some of the things offered we did see in the Budapest Christmas fair for less. I would definately visit again, possibly this summer as I am sure that in the sun the area will be even prettier
