TI has SEVEN, yes 7, different room types to choose from. Prices vary depending on the time of year you are traveling, and the day of the week you stay. Prices for weekend nights can be nearly double those of weekday! Summer is not as popular as Autumn/Winter months. You can find Deluxe rooms (which is their cheapest) starting at $99 a night. And suites head into mid $300-500 a night!
I stayed in the cheapest, and it felt like 4 star plus! Lovely plush room, good size, nothing to fault at all. The first thing my daughter did was look out the window. We overlooked the strip and the staging area for the 4 times nightly pirate show (7/8:30/10/11:30). If you've seen "Miss Congeniality 2" then you've had a taster for the show.... The first thing my daughter complained was "we're going to be kept awake by the show every night". But every night, for every show, she had her nose pressed up to the glass watching it over and over again! She loved it!
One BIG mistake I made, was not booking tickets for the Circque du Soleil show before we got there. You MUST see this, but book the tickets as far in advance as possible. I didn't get to see the show at TI, or any of their other productions in Vegas - though I have seen them before. MUST, MUST, MUST book this and see their show!! Cannot rave about them enough. Kids love it and adults are just blown away by what they are seeing. Perfect family show!
Now something at TI, but NOT for the family is Tangerine. A night club in the hotel that has burlesque performances 4 times a night. Ohhhh, la la! Didn't venture there, was too exhausted by the end of the day!
Back to family fun, and the pool area at TI is perfect. Not too big or small. Perfect for a lazy dip on a hot day. If you want to make a full day of it, you might want to arrange a cabana for the day. You get your own poolside tent, with comfy loungers and chairs. A fan overhead provides a light breeze, and if the kids get board with swimming, you've got a flat screen TV overhead to keep them interested!! You have your own cabana boy/girl sorting out all your needs, like food, drink, towels, etc.... Prices vary on this again depending on time of year/day etc.... But it's worth plonking down the cash and having a full tanning/swimming day in luxury.
Food - Well there's plenty of choices. For regular meals I'd recommend the Buffet at TI. Everything you can possibly imagine gets served here, at one time or other. Prices vary depending on the meal & day. (Bfast = $12 - Dinner $20-26). There's even a champagne brunch on weekends. You can eat till you explode. Everyone, kids and adults, just enjoy having the choice of trying many things. It's good service, and worth the money!!
Finally, the gambling - yes it's everywhere in the hotel. Though it can be tough to explain to your kid why they can't play too! There are security guys on patrol, and if your child ventures in to the gambling area they will ask you to remove them. This can be tough, especially if you have very young children, as there is only a change in carpet style showing you the divide between "the casino" and "the corridor".. So don't be surprised if you get a tap on the shoulder, because your little darling has crossed the boundry! Nevada has strict laws, and security keep a close eye on this.
Advantages: Not such a large hotel so easy to find your way round and out Disadvantages: Truthfully none
I went here in November 2006 with my boyfriend for 10 days.
We found the hotel perfectly placed for the hotels we wanted to visit, though a long walk down to the far end of Luxor, Mandalay Bay. But if you use the Deuce bus (5 dollars for 24hr pas) there is a bus stop right outside and a bus every 5-10 minutes.
ROOM: We booked the cheapest room "a deluxe" room and it was the nicest the room I have ever stayed in. It had a very large and extremely ... ...A television, fair sized wardrobe space and drawers, iron and ironing board. There was also an in-room safe which was extremely handy as we could keep money etc locked away.
The bathroom was all marble and had large bath with a shower over it and very good water pressure. Towels were changed often.
RECEPTION: When we arrived (apprx 4pm) there was no queue for reception and we asked for a strip view room which we got for an extra 50 dollars for ...

Advantages: Luxury hotel, superb spa, magnificent rooms Disadvantages: Booking in could have been smoother
When did we stay - Sept/Oct 2006
Duration - 7 nights
Room type - adjoined suite with 1 a king Size Bed and 2 x Queen Beds
Group size - 3
This hotel is fabulous and well worth the luxury status that it has. We arrived by Limo from McClarren International Airport and were greeted by the bell boy who whisked off the suitcases and promptly put us at the front of the booking in queue. The actual booking in took a bit longer than I would have hoped, ... ...suite but this was rapidly sorted out and apologies were made followed by a nice bottle of champagne.
The room itself was HUGE, we had a reception room with sofa, TV and Wet bar and table, the room also had a WC. The first room contained the 2 x Queen Beds, it also included TV, loads of space for hanging clothes etc and this room also contained a shower and WC.
The second room containing the King Bed was an en-suite onto a spa bath and there were ...
