I love this shop! A store been open for about six months now near where I shop and I continue to be pleasantly surprised to see smiling staff, and a tidy, well-organised shop. Before this store opened, I had been to an older store and the scene reminded me of a jumble sale, but this store is well presented,and inviting. I ahve returned an item that did not fit before, and I had absolutely no problems. THe customer service was exceptional.
The shop supplies clothes for men, women and children as well as swimwear, shoes and underwear, but also has a homestyle range including rugs, candles, duvets, cutlery and an amazing selection fo household bargains. The clothes are the main feature, and there must be an item in this store from every designer there is, and the huge variety satisfies everyones taste. I love being able to shop from a variety of places, all under one roof! Also, they get over 1000 new items in every week so there is never a time when you can say "I've seen this all before!"
The most fantastic thing is the prices. I find it hard to believe TK Maxx can sell their designer goods so cheaply, when they can be up to triple the Tk Maxx price in other stores. When you shop here, it makes ypu wonder why you ever paid full price for designer clothes when you can get the same quality for half the price at TK Maxx. You will never need to pay full price for designer clothes again. For example, I recently bought a pair of Quiksilver Jeans to the retail value of £55 for only £19.99! I have found no fault with these jeans and they seem to be of very high quality. They have also washed well, not shrinking at all which is what I half expected to happen, so i'm really pleased.
The only downside to this wonderland is the frustration you get when you find the perfect design at the perfect price, but they don't have it in your size. When you ask if they will be getting it in, you are told the deliveries are a "surprise" and they never know when they are getting deliveries, or if that product will be delivered to them again. This means it may never come in again, it may come in tomorrow or even next year, you wouldn't have a clue, would you? So it partly depends on whether luck is on your side as to whether or not you find what you're looking for.
I advise anyone who hasn't been to TK Maxx to make a visit, it will change your experience of shopping forever. With Christmas coming, you could save a samll fortune on presents. You will either love it - enjoy the cheap prices and large range; or hate it - the frustration and hunting to find the item you desire. The store is not particularly suitable for disabled people as there is not an elevator as an alternative to the one main staircase. The layout is mainly a large flat open floor design but the rails of clothes are quite close together and I think it would be hard for disabled people to access what they were looking for. I think you can tell whether it is for you straight away, it's either you're cup of tea, or it's not!

its a bit difficult to find what you want, and you have to do some browsing - but i got some ben sherman jeans for a tenner, original price was 50 quid. not bad really.

Advantages: Designer clothes at cheaper prices, Caters for men women and children, Sometimes get hold of cheap fragrances. Disadvantages: Have to search through rails of clothes, Shop is a bit disorganised, Not very consistent (i.e. one day there will be good deals then there will be nothing much in).
Advantages: At the TK Maxx you can buy whatever you want as they virtually sell everthing, it can be your home away from home. Disadvantages: There are only a few around, however, more are being built.
