TK MAXX is supposed to be cheap and cheerful for designer lables- it's true. But what about the fact that you have to rummage through racks and racks of old season stock until you get to that one item that you think you really like.
The menswear departmet isn't thaaaaat bad- probably because male shoppers are a little more docile- you wont find two guys fighting over a tshirt. Whereas the women's section is usually an absolute mess so you can never find more than one of the same item- scenario- you find a pair of trousers you like but they are a huge size 16......tough......unless you have an hour to find the size 10 you are looking for.
Price wise, I purchased a Nike sweatshirt for £9.99 when it's RRP is £34.99.
Sale time is usually good, you find some proper bargains- I bought a Katherine Hamnett top RRP- £50, TKmaxx price £24.99, Sale price £6!! Big Time bargain.
I wont lie- I do have a few bits and bobs from TKMax but that was back in my student days- you know the days when you have many hours to wile away? When holidays out number actual study days.....ahhh thems were the days!
Our local store ( I wont mention the name) is as hot as ever- Air Conditioning? What is it? The staff are really helpful and are easy to find- I mean how can you miss someone wearing a bright red t shirt? Their customer service department is very good, they'll exchange goods over their 28 day refund policy or if you lose your receipt with no quibbles.
They have more than just a few changing rooms which are spacious but staff will not find other sizes.....as they don't have an hour to search either!Wheelchair access/buggy access is good entering and using the changing rooms, but access to the racks of clothes......mission impossible so I guess that makes the changingrooms redundant! If you can't access the clothes to choose some to try on.....
Do I recommend you to shop at TKMaxx? Yeah, definitely if you have the time. If you're in a hurry don't risk it- you'll end up spending at least an hour in there, lost in and amongst the racks, clothes and hangers. If you do find yourself with some time to spare, or if you're on a leisurely shopping trip go for it- I guarantee you'll walk out sweaty but happy with your bargains!.
totally agree, if only they just organised the clothing a bit, they can still cram things onto a rack if they want, but put all the same clothing together to avoid hassle
