Advantages: Good Value short break
Disadvantages: Had to come home too soon!!

"next door noise" could be heard through the walls.I spoke to the two guys over the terrace railing next morning about this,and it turned out they were from a couple of miles up the road from where we live! I found the food fine,and ate far,far too much!Right;we wouldn't choose this resort or hotel for a future holiday-not as first choices,anyway.One,because we've now been there,done that;as the T-shirt is rumoured to proclaim;and Two;we prefer the Hotel "Planamar"(Another "H-Top") along the coast in Malgrat'. The calibre of people who wrote the damning reviews I read must socially be far higher than mine. ....but,most of these were dated '05/'06.Perhaps they were taken note of. The Hotel Osiris in Calella

Advantages: Weather, facilities
Disadvantages: Sea temperature, noise

My girlfriend and I took our first holiday abroad together to Calella and stayed in the Osiris for a week in June 2003. We've had better nights sleep in Club 18-30 hotels!!!!!!!! First impressions Our first impression of the Osiris was that it was a very nice and posh hotel. From the outside it looks just like the brochure, the scenic lift is very atractive. The reception staff seemed very disorganised when we checked in; After a long wait we were shuffled in front of a digital camera for individual mugshots but they failed to tell us what they were for. It was only when we returned a couple of hours later did we realise they were for our all-inclusive identification. They asked us to return later to pick up armbands! Hotel Esplai explained

Advantages: Medium sized not overcrowded comfortable hotel
Disadvantages: none really

. Through the main doors and down a few steps leads you to the Hotel's swimming pools, one large one, with shallow and deep end approx 6ft deep and a small shallow pool for the tots, there is two outside jacuzzi's and toilets with shower facility's. There is a poolside Bar, tv area and pooltable, and a large patio area with ample seating, and poolside sunbeds, all included in the hotel price. This area is cleaned daily and is spotless. Directly opposite the hotel there is a restaurant run by an elderly Spanish Gent and his two daughters.They serve excellant top quality food, at a very reasonable price eg: large English Breakfast with English bacon,sausage,beans,eggs and toast aprrox $5.00 Euro or £2.50 this includes tea/coffee etc. Superb Roast Chicken dinners as well as massive steaks. this establishment also has an internet cafe ...
