"next door noise" could be heard through the walls.I spoke to the two guys over the terrace railing next morning about this,and it turned out they were from a couple of miles up the road from where we live! I found the food fine,and ate far,far too much!Right;we wouldn't choose this resort or hotel for a future holiday-not as first choices,anyway.One,because we've now been there,done that;as the T-shirt is rumoured to proclaim;and Two;we prefer the Hotel "Planamar"(Another "H-Top") along the coast in Malgrat'. The calibre of people who wrote the damning reviews I read must socially be far higher than mine. ....but,most of these were dated '05/'06.Perhaps they were taken note of. I recently had the task of travelling to Charlotte North Carolina on Business, my hotel of choice was the Doubletree in the Gateway Village on West Trade Street.
As with most long trips from the UK to the States you always seem to be travel tiered when you arrive. This trip was no exception. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Cab ride from the airport to the Doubletree was only a 15 minute ride and at a cost of $15. If you were planning to drive then it is not far from the freeway at all.
From the outside the hotel looks like any other but does have a clean and tidy appearance and a little class about it. It is located in the main campus of the university but don't let that put you off. There are not ...

The Glasgow Swallow is a well equipped comfortable and friendly Hotel, located a short distance outside the city centre but in an area with some of Glasgow's best attractions. It is an excellent choice for families and great value for money.
I have been to the Swallow in Glasgow with my family many times. From the outside the hotel is quite unimpressive, inside is a different story. It is well decorated and well laid out. As you walk in the door you have a reception desk in front of you, the dining room, bar and lounge to the left and lift, stairs to rooms and ballroom to the right. The main entrance has a small fountain, disabled access and is under an overhead walkway.
