Advantages: Excellent location and good value for money
Disadvantages: Not suitable for disabled people

...they are always ready to sketch a portrait of you for a price. There are also lots of paintings for sale and you can watch the artists painting them. All of Paris's attractions/places of interest are easily reached by walking or by metro, the local metro station is Anvers and is five minutes walk from the hotel. We found the metro system really easy to use and inexpensive. For the elderly, disabled and younger visitors wishing to visit the Place du Tetra and other attractions at the top of Montmartre there is a funiculaire which takes you to the top and brings you back down. The current funiculaire has two passenger cars which can carry 60 people and these run on parellel tracks. ...beaches within an hour's drive and some very pretty/towns villages on the way. The hotel is near the main Rome-Naples highway (non-motorway). Overall, I would describe La Pace as adequate - certainly not the best hotel for the money, but nowhere near the worst!... Read review

...So there we were, in Jakarta for a couple of days. It was our first time in Indonesia and I had no idea where to stay. Normally I would aim for a Sheraton or a Hilton - not Intercontinental any more since their loyalty programme refused to reward my 100+ nights of loyalty and didn't care. However, we recently had very good stays at Shangri Las in Singapore and Hong Kong and I was able to get a good rate at the Shangri La Jakarta, so we decided to give it a try.
