I went to the TGI Friday's in Times Square a couple of years ago on a trip to New York. It was our first night there, we'd just arrived on the plane and wanted some familiar food. As our hotel was just round the corner from Times Square we decided on TGI Friday's just a short walk away. We quite like the ones in the UK - there are specific thingson the menu that they do really well which is why we decided to go there.
On arrival we were taken up ... ...table without a window view. We could still see the views along Times Square and as this was the highlight of the meal we were quite pleased that we didn't miss the views because we didn't get a window seat.
It took ages for us to get served and once we had it took ages for our drinks to arrive. We'd ordered a pint of beer each which was our first mistake. The pints were the equivalent of about £8 each!! We hadn't realised how much they were when ...

Advantages: Great food, huge portions, value for money Disadvantages: a bit busy at lunchtime
I visited New York in April this year and had always wanted to go to TGI Fridays just to try it out and see if there was any difference to the ones I had been to in Scotland and wasnt disappointed. I found the food excellent value for money considering the portion sizes you get which are huge and the staff were friendly and helpful and couldnt do enough.
