Wow if you are looking for a holiday doing nothing but swimming sunbathing and generally chillin' this is it. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency for 2 weeks with my wife and 2 year old daughter. The weather as expected was in the 50's. No shortage of pools to dip in and the beach.........well the beach is amazing uncrowded more sun loungers than people. The beachfront water is protected due to coral but go off the piers and snorkle and it is fantastic. The pier on the far left of the beach is not as crowded and i would recommend it. Security i konw is a concern. Metal detectors on the main doors armed guards at the gate, main doors and each end of the beach. Staff were great and can never do enough for you. weekly cocktail party thrown by hotel management free drink and nibbles. On food....Breakfast is great omelettes of your choice, cereals pancakes, toast eggs etc etc. Meals in the evening were always varied, fresh cooked meats rice potatoes hug salad bars. The high light is the neverending pizzas made to order absolutely fantastic. On the down side only a couple of issues. There is nothing else in Taba to do. You can visit other hotels and thats about the limit. Entertainment was a bit sparce. Kids disco every night live entertainment every 2-3 nights But for a romantic getaway perfect.........until the weekends. Unfortunately some israeli families visited at weekends and most, not all acted as if they were the only ones on holiday, very loud, rude, and kids who take no care when moving around in hotel or in pools.Again this is only a few who can poil this very HOT paradise. I would recommend this for a week away with your partner. The price is fantastic for what is on offer. Enjoy your trip if you choose the Hyatt Regency

I stayed at the Four Corners at Taba a few months ago. We visited the Regency to try out the casino, its rubbish. However i agree that the resort is a great place to saty but thought that you could have written a bit more.

I was in Egypt this summer, so I know what you mean about the heat - when we got down to Aswan it was unbearable! Triciax

Advantages: Guaranteed sunshine. The private beach is safe, clean and half empty and the staff are lovely. Disadvantages: The dreaded Pharoah's curse! I didn't meet anyone who had not suffered from a stomach upset.
