On the day I started writing for Ciao, I wrote about the Taj Mahal Palace and Towers and to this day it remains my worst rated review of all time. Like many newbies I hadn't a clue what I was doing and the ratings reflected that. I have left most of my dreadful newbie reviews unchanged - to remind me that we all have to learn - but after the recent events in Mumbai, I can't leave this one unaltered any more. So please, ignore the existing ratings and give it a read.

Advantages: Clean, comfortable, close to the porn! Disadvantages: Limited Dining, crap bar and dirty lobby toilets
, but most of these are far short of the international standard. There are local independent hotels but only one was reviewed favourably on any site that I checked. Or there is The Chandela, which is part of the Taj group. The Taj it ain't but it is good enough.
Arrival and The Lobby
I had booked a transfer from the airport and, sure enough, there he was holding a piece of paper with my name on it. He took our bag and helped us to the car, an Indian Qualis 4x4 which is a bit basic but large, comfortable and with working AC - it was in the high 30s.

After my marriage I and my husband went to Goa for a holiday. We have booked the room in Taj Holiday Village through a Travel Agency. Although My husband has researched a bit about the place on internet, but the real surprise was when we reached hotel. Our flight from Delhi-Goa reached Goa airport by the evening about 6:00 PM. Within about hour and half we were at the hotel by hotel cab which was waiting at airport for us. After reaching the hotel it took just two minutes to get the room that was booked by us.
