Advantages: One of the Seven Wonders of the World Disadvantages: Beautiful from outside but an empty shell inside
...I have just come from Agra and am disgusted by the inflated admission costs for foreigners to the Taj Mahal. When I went there a few years ago the cost to enter was the same for everybody - Indian or foreign visitors, Rs 5. The Government has now revised the costs so that if you are Indian you pay Rs 10 - about 15p and if you are a foreign tourist you now have to pay $30 US.
I know the the Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world but this is outrageous and just another way of fleecing the foreign tourists....

Advantages: Breathtaking Scenery, Seafood Disadvantages: Cant trust the Drinking Water there.
...this by the quiet ripple of water on Vembanad lake. Most sights open late, close for a lunch break and shut at 5. Shops open by 10 am and close by 7 or 7.30 pm. Most are closed on Sundays. Banks work from 10 am to 2 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 1 pm or 10 am to noon on Saturdays. Restaurants start opening by 8 am, and stay open until 11 pm. best time to go there is between December - March. There's a lot of Good hotels around likeThe "Taj Malabar" and "The Trident" in Wellington Island, "The Avenue Regent " in MG Road, "The Metropolitan " Near Ernakulam Junction, "Sea Lord Hotel" and " TajResidency "in Marine Drive , "The Old Courtyard " in Fort Cochin, "Bolgatty Palace Hotel " in Bolgatty islands. These hotels offers a very positive approach to the tourists, The "TajResidency" mainly targetting the business visitors.

...i visited the taj mahl about four years ago, and what a marvel it is. The building is a wonder, a superb structure, the inch by inch detail which must have taken years to do, has been largely excellently restored.
i didn't think a buliding could have had such an impact on me, but this did, the historical roots and the culture it holds is a fasination in itself.
the people were really friendly, even though some could not understand the language, the atmosphere was gentle and one of peace.
you were allocated a guide who showed you round, and interpreted the meanings and passage of time of the great building.
after visiting the taj mahl, i have become much more of a philosophical person, it tells you alot about your characher....

The 3rd film in the Resident Evil series was under pressure from the successes of the first two, and i'm happy to say that it delivered.
