As my family and I recently flew out to Tampa airport from London, Gatwick we were very upset with the delay coming from England and also how poor the flight on the Boeing 777 was. The flight was uncomfortable and when we finally reached Tampa were were all angry and shocked at the service from British Airways.

Tampa airport however was of very good service, everything was quick and efficent and although America needs a lot of security checks, the staff at the airport were kind and helpful. This was good as we had just been off a very stressful flight.

Flying out from America we were extremely happy with the service and the flight was even 5 minutes early taking off! The airport was comfortable and maybe people were impressed at the air conditioning facilities and the number of shops to browse around.
The service from London was disgraceful and I have made a complaint to British Airways for the delay on the way out and also because of the poor quality of the aircraft.

I'm extending this opinion as Andrew wanted to know about the quality of British Airways, and also for anyone else who is interested.

Well the Boeing 777 is a very packed plane with very little leg room, and also very uncomfortable seats.

When you push the seats back there is a gap where you feel your body is slowly slipping through, this is extremely uncomfortable, and when you are flying over night and are desperate to get some sleep this will be very frustrating.

Also on board we found the inflight entertainment was delayed for over an hour and the hot beverages were also delayed due to mild turbulence.

Although the flight did have its good points such as good quality food, polite aircrew and entertainment for children; we were still angry as the tickets were over £600 per person.
If you are thinking of flying to either Tampa or Orlando with British Airways I would strongly suggest you enquire with Ba about the aircraft or find a different airline.

It appears I'm not the only one who found this problem whilst flying on the Ba boeing 777, in the Daily Telegraph there was an article written about the very same flight from London to Tampa. This just shows that you must be very careful when picking your airline.
