Advantages: It's curry; the mango lassi; good portions Disadvantages: Freezing toilet; paying a premium for the location; a little shabby

I would recommend the Indus to anyone looking for decent, value for money Indian food in Krakow. It's in an easy to find central location, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is nicely prepared and presented. The Indus won't win awards for originality in appearance or in its menu but as a basic Indian restaurant, some where to get a curry fix when away from home it does the job pretty well.
The bill came to exactly 100 PLN (approximately £22, including two mango lassi and two beers) abd while you can eat more cheaply in Krakow, it should be remembered that we were in the heart of the tourist area for which you'll always pay a premium.
Recommended.

Naans originated in Afghanistan and came to India with the mughals. The nomads carried the dough which got fermented and they cooked it over a earthenware skillet. Now it has become a very popular dish with the North Indians mainly Punjabis and Pakistanis.
Naans are traditionally cooked in a " Tandoor or Earthern Oven" but can also be made on a flat "Tawa " or a shallow frying pan.It is made by mixing Flour with some yoghurt, ghee, salt , dry yeast, some sugar and warm water..the prepared dough is allowed to rise, after which it is divided into portions, kneaded and rolled out. Then it is stuck to the inside of the tandoor or rolled in an aluminium foil and cooked in the oven.
I love naans , they are best had with a generous amount of butter on them YUMMY!!! and with a boneless chicken curry or Lamb curry or Paneer masala (Cottage ...
Advantages: Great food, great staff and service, very clean, sticky rice to die for Disadvantages: no kids menu a little priceier than your average curry house
