Advantages: tropical, duty free Disadvantages: boring, no night life

Make sure you visit some of the top resorts in Langkawi. Notibly Datai Bay Resort, Damai Resort and TanjungRhu Resort. These are the top resorts which have to themselves the most beautiful beaches in langkawi. You simply have not seen the best of the beaches in Langkawi till you've visited these resorts. Staying there would be heaven, but not affordable to everyone. It will probably cost you about £500 a night to stay in one of those 6 star resorts. You will be impressed by them when you visit them.
-----------------------GENERAL-----------------------------------------
Other great visits in langkawi include the bird paradise, the 7 wells and really just sit back under the sun, pick up a book and enjoy the sea breeze.

Advantages: A beautiful, scenic, and peaceful island Disadvantages: Not many shops
...across the north of the island, stopping at the exclusive Datai resort, were we visited their "private" beach, imagine having a gorgeous 2mile stretch of white sand all to yourselves,it was bliss!!!.We visited the arts and crafts centre, where local artists and craftsmen were busy at work. We drove to the Tanjungrhu beach, this we thought was the best beach on the island, a lovely curving arc of white sand, hot, clear water and beatiful scenery,to gaze at.We went on a boat trip to the pular payer national park, this was a fantastic day out,we went with Langkawi coral who were excellant, they take you to this huge floating platform ,you eat your dinner on here, there are sunbeds, and a underwater viewing platform. All masks snorkles ,etc are provided ,and the fish are amazing,we swam with baby sharks, there is a beach you can swim to if you want a break...

..., Pantai (Beach) Kok, pantai Cenang, pantai Tengah, pantai Pasir Hitam(Black Sand beach) and teluk Datai. Beaches at hotels are not named but it is just as good as those named.
Overview:
Pantai Cenang – where you find underwater world and Laman Padi, where you can learn about my country’s staple food.
Pantai Kok – where you find Telaga Tujuh and Oriental Village
Pantai Tengah – near Airport, nothing interesting
Pantai Pasir Hitam – where you’ll find a pathetic Cement factory beside it. The beach has somewhat special black sands, unlike any other beaches which has only white fine sands.
Teluk Datai – crocodile farm, craft centre and Datai Hotel
I didn’t go to TanjungRhu.
The beach is where you can find it most relaxing to read your book, get a tan and just simply wade in the waves.
You can fish the whole day by the beach if you...
