We went with these guys and the holiday we had was very good. However, this was mainly because of the location, the weather and the hotel staff rather than anything Tapestry did.
The location of the "resort" (it was very small) was excellent, the place was very unspoilt and lived up to the billing in the brochure. The local beaches were particularly good, which is what we went for.
We had great weather, which in September was not guaranteed - so in this respect we were lucky.
The hotel staff were excellent, really taking a shine to our daughter and providing anything we asked for.
On the downside, the Tapestry staff were only OK. When asked for something they generally delivered and volunteered a load of information at the start of the holiday, which was good. They left us pretty much to our own devices, which was what we wanted and weren't trying to push "jaunts". We did have some problems with the hire car, which they didn't really want to know about but did eventually sort out.
The hotel itself was not in the brochure, and I would warn anyone to watch out for this tactic. It was significantly worse than other hotels in the brochure (we checked). It was typical of Greek basic hospitality - decor out of the 60's, fairly small room, basic wooden furniture, leaky/blocked shower and no view to speak of. However, it was clean and provided a good base close to the village centre. The staff were excellent. Breakfast was very basic (bread, honey, yoghurt, jam, tea/coffee and fruit) but OK.
The transfer from the airport was long and the drop off (without baggage) was a short walk away due to the narrow streets. This, unwarned and late at night, was a bit poor and the baggage took a little time to arrive (via the back stairs) which was not ideal.
So, in the respects where Tapestry could have excelled they provided only an OK service - some things could have been better and the information was a little short. The hotel was not as good as others in the brochure - watch out for this tactic. However, the holiday was good (probably the best package holiday we've been on), which is the main thing.

That was a good first review but it didn't really tell me who Tapestry are. I've never heard of them? Do they do ordinary package tours like Thompsons and whatever? ~Sharon
