Estella Hotel and Apartments Did NOT Disappoint!

Advantages: Excellent location, superb customer service levels and lovely rooms
Disadvantages: No real facilities for the disabled

at (Paphos) was about 70km from Limassol where we were staying. On arrival at Paphos airport on 30th April we were met by a very friendly taxi driver who grabbed our heavier bags and easily carried them to the car. The journey to the hotel took about 40 minutes and it was nice that the car had air conditioning as arriving in a very warm Cyprus early afternoon after coming from a rather chilly London was quite a shock to the system! EASE OF BOOKING: 10 out of 10 On arrival at the hotel, we found the reception staff to be very friendly and attentive. The reception area was tidy and welcoming and my cousin and I grinned at each other as we checked in, thinking that it was already a good start. Hotel Veronica, Paphos

Advantages: very close to beach and shops, helpful staff
Disadvantages: bad food, no entertainment, not particularly clean and poor pool area

change, though, and was disappointed with the lack of choice, poor quality, mildly tepid soup and generally tastless recipies. The pool was very shaded and there was a "take your life in your hands" scuffle for the few sunny sunbeds each morning. Overall, the good points were that the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to assist to the best of their ability. Another gentleman stayed at this hotel in July and received a totally different situation, where he said the hotel could not be faulted, but said he spent this whole week this stay complaining. this hotel was not child friendly, apart from a kiddies pool, but the food menu did not cater for small children. Agapinor Hotel - Paphos

Advantages: Clean, air -conditioned rooms
Disadvantages: Location and poor choice of evening meals

My boyfriend and i stayed at the Agapinor for 11 nights in June 2006. We booked through Go-Travel having only a small hoilday fund! We knew we wanted to go to Paphos but didn't mind were we stayed. For our budget we only had a choice of this hotel and a self catering hotel. We chose the Agapinor as the description said it was close to the shops and it was half board. the hotel and flights cost £450 each. What i didn't realise was that there are two parts to Paphos, the old town (which is where the Agopinor is situated) and the tourist part by the harbour, the distance between the two is about 3km. This became a problem as all the bars, clubs and restaurants are near the harbour. In the daytime there is a bus service which runs about every 10 mins and costs about 40p, this stops early evening so the only way to get to the harbour is ...
