A very disappointing evening. The restaurant is elegant, with a modern touch. Service also elegant, formal, but also VERY slow and unco-ordinated. Our three course meal took three and a half hours. It took over half an hour to place an order, and no-one came to take a cocktail order (we had planned a glass of champagne), though bread was repeatedly offered. The bill (3 requests) took 35 minutes to arrive. My first course (pig's head and langoustines) arrived cold. Tiny quantities of delicious food, which, given the service, made one think of starvation. We were surrounded by unhappy diners. My umbrella was stolen! The very worst evening of a very pleasant New Year's stay in Lisbon, and one of the most frustrating evenings I have ever spent in Europe.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like customer service at it's finest. >_< Was it really busy? Because I'm a waiter myself...and its a tough job doing so many tables at once.
