There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful this place was - we spent a weekend there with our toddler and friends. The owner was extremely accommodating regarding children, we were given the larger room to fit our travelcot, and bedding was provided. If memory serves, I believe they were able to provide a travelcot themselves, but we brought our own just in case.
Our friends stayed in the room downstairs, and the communal area / lounge was available for us to use at any time after breakfast (the tables etc had to be cleared away). That was ideal for us as we were not able to go out in the evening with a toddler in bed, so we were welcomed to bring our own wine and snacks and chill out with our friends in the lounge, with the baby monitor on while our son was safely asleep upstairs.
The cottage is a bautifuly converted family house, with separate rooms for the owners. They were wonderfully hospitable and would withdraw to their part of the building which allowed us to feel like home from home. As they owned dogs, they were extremely careful about allowing them around us becasue of our son, although we did not mind animals at all. Despite us saying so, they still gave us plenty of notice when the dogs might be around (on their way to walks etc) and were always cautious opening the door to the area they were in.
The place was spotless and a wide range of breakfast provided - cooked (in the way you ask for it), cereals, fruit, pastries, juices, milk and hot drinks.
The rooms were amazing, wonderful homely rooms, with the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. I was over 6 months pregnant at the time and a comfortable mattress was hard to find - this was perfect. The bathrooms have power showers and there is ample storage space in the rooms - wardrobes and drawers. Extra linen, bedding and even sewing kits, first aid kits and irons were included in the room. Kettle and a selection of drinks / mugs / biscuits as well.
The owners were friendly, helpful and very professional. It really felt like we were staying with family, not just some B&B.
Highly recommended - beautiful location, beautiful building and excellent service and accommodation. If there was only one thing not perfect, I would say the lack of parking space at the property - we managed to squeeze 3 cars out front but with some manoevering. However we were told there was a field nearby that could be used, so there was an alternative.
