makers of all time, joins forces with the great Italian conductor Riccardo Chaily to effect a masterful rendition of this rarely-performed opera involving spectacular scenes of alternating light and dark, pageantry and intimacy. The production is further complemented by the great Italian baritone Renato Bruson as Giacomo, the American soprano Susan Dunn as Giovanna and the outstanding tenor Vincenzo La Scola as the Dauphon. The magnificent Teatro Comunale di Bologna provides an intimate yet ornate setting for this production of Verdi's seventh opera, the story of the Maid of Orleans.

Bologna. I have been twice in Bologna, once was fro concert on the outskirts, the second time for the wedding of my cousin with a guy from Bologna. I had a chance to visit a bit of the City when we went for the wedding, because we stayed there the night before. To be honest with you, Bologna is nothing special, although the centre is nice, but I remember it as a bit noisy. What was very good was the food we had the night before the wedding, and at the wedding. Tortellini are a speciality from Bologna, and you can also have plenty of good cheese Parmigiano and cured meat, like Prosciutto di Parma. What I found nice, are the mountains just out of Bologna, called Appennini. In summer it can be very stuffy in Bologna and the mountains are never too far away. Keep it in mind if you go there in summer and it is too hot. ...

You will fall in love with this city if your favourite colour is RED!
I visit this city during the summer.
As I was walking across the train station, both sides of the buildings are tall columns and antique style architecture. With mainly orange and red as the primary colors of the building decorative elements. Even the buses are red too! There are many leaning towers in Italy. You will also find the leaning twin towers here in Bologna too.
There is a good place to have lunch. it is in the market district. the price is reasonable and visitors that do not speak Italian can order the dish just by pointing. I enjoy the Parma Ham with cheese and sweet melon, I am in paradise! bottle of wine in italy is cheaper than bottle water. so i end up drinking wine for every meal. ...
