SITUATION
The hotel is located on Fleet Street, Dublin, right on the edge of the Temple Bar area - ideal for pubs, clubs restaurants and very importantly shopping and sightseeing.
The river Liffey with O'Connell Bridge and Ha'Penny Bridge are a few minutes walk away as are Trinity College and the Bank of Ireland building.
The prime shopping districts of Henry Street and Grafton Street are also a few minutes walk away.

FACILITIES
130 Bedrooms Non Smoking Rooms Available Lifts Terrace Restaurant Rendezvous Lounge and Cocktail Bar Buskers Bar Meeting Rooms (accommodating up to 75 people) Parking can be arranged (at special rates) nearby

RESTAURANT
The restaurant seats seventy people comfortably and the conservatory style glass roof gives it a bright and airy feel.
Breakfast was waiter service with a 'full cooked Irish' included in the multi choice menu. The Irish Breakfast was well cooked, nicely presented, very filling and tasted great.
We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis, so I can't really comment on the quality and ambience of the restaurant either at lunch time or in the evening for dinner. However the menus displayed outside looked very inviting and reasonably priced.
The restaurant is open from 7a.m. until 10.30p.m.

RECEPTION
Registering and checking in at reception was simple and easy, an imprint of a credit card was taken, we were given a description of the hotel facilities, directions to our room and invited to enjoy our stay.

GUEST BEDROOMS
We stayed in a standard room which was tastefully decorated in cream and blue, it was a fairly large room furnished with twin beds, wardrobe (with full length mirror), bedside tables, dressing table with stool, coffee table and two lounge style chairs.
In addition there was a TV with remote control, radio, hairdryer, trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone.
There was a stand on the dressing table with tourist information leaflets and room service menus etc.
The en suite bathroom was large and well appointed with bath with shower over, WC, washbasin, electric shaver point and a very large mirror over the washbasin.
Towels and toiletries were supplied and replaced on a daily basis.
Lighting in both the bathroom and the bedroom were excellent.

SUMMARY
This is a fairly large hotel, part of the Tower Hotel Group, and is very well appointed for its three star rating.
All the members of staff we came into contact with were very helpful and friendly.
All areas of the hotel appear clean and well maintained.
It is ideally situated for a city break, other than taking the open top tourist bus tour, we were able to explore the sights on foot.
Some rooms can get a bit noisy late at night owing to the close proximity to the pubs and clubs of the Temple Bar area. Buskers, the hotels own pub, has live music late into the night - it might be an idea to request a room away from this side of the hotel if you're an early to bed type. The entrance to Buskers is independent from the hotel entrance.

Advantages: Great manager, great location, cheap rate Disadvantages: Noisy
Temple Bar is a nice hotel with reasonable prices and a great location, even if the area is loud at times. But what really made our stay at this hotel was the phenomenal manager... we got into a huge bind the morning we left because we missed our flight. The hotel manager was unbelievably fabulous, helping us book new flights, getting us to the airport and even packing us breakfast to go. I cannot speak highly enough about the extraordinary service ...

Advantages: City centre location Disadvantages: Expensive, noisy at night times.
The Arlington Hotel is situated in the heart of Dublin, just off O?Connell Street, and across the river from the TempleBar area of the city.
The entrance hall and adjoining Knightsbridge Bar are decorated like something out of a medieval movie, complete with a faux set of armour. While the entrance and reception are always well lit, the bar is quite dark even during the day.
According to the hotel?s website, it boasts 131 rooms, ranging from double rooms to twin and even triplet rooms. On my last visit, we stayed in a twin room. It was lovely and spacious, and there was a TV, en suite bathroom and a kettle (complete with tea and coffee).
We had a good view across the River Liffy. At first, we thought this was fantastic - until, of course, night descended. The wind roared the whole night, traffic rattled by, and we could hear ...
Advantages: Central to Temple Bar Disadvantages: No Sleep due to noise!
Riverhouse HotelDublin
This weekend Tricia24 and myself took ourselves off to trip to Dublin for a friends surprise birthday. We found some cheap flights on Ryan Air and searched the Internet for a hotel. We wanted to stay in TempleBar notorious for being the nightlife of Dublin and so decided on the River House Hotel because of it's location.
Location
23 - 24 Eustace Street, TempleBar, Dublin.
TempleBar is the heart of Dublin's Nightlife; it is basically a large cobbled street with loads of bars, restaurants and nightclubs along it. This hotel is perfectly situated for those who literally need to stumble home in the early hours. If you were away for a romantic weekend or peaceful sightseeing tour I would advise staying just outside of TempleBar itself.
Price
The following prices are per room per night on a Friday ...
Advantages: In the very centre of Dublin, Reasonable Prices, Excellent Room service Disadvantages: Noisey in rooms ove weekend, No car park
We recently stayed at LaStampa, 35 Dawson Street, Dublin. The Hotel is located right in the heart of Dublin, within easy walking of St Stephens Green, Grafton St and TempleBar. The hotel is a 4 star hotel and has 29 rooms.
It is easy to miss the hotel unless you actually know where it is. Located on Dawson street it is surrounded by Dublin cafe culture. The building is fairly old but is going through major incremental renovations. The building is confusing, as you walk into the bar area to get to the reception. The staff were excellent, taking over immediately from this point, with a porter quickly taking bags and escorting you to you bedroom. Unfortunately you have to go down through the bar to get to the lifts to the rooms.
On getting into the rooms we were absolutely won over with the standard of the rooms. The rooms ...
