5 Stars Quick review of Temples of Baalbek, Beirut by nadime 03/07/2007
Yes Baalbeck is very interesting, I have visited twice after a long car journey through the Beka Valley and on to Zahle then to Beirut. I found walking around this ancient site mesmerizing, over a large area you can walk round freely and touch the stone and sit and take in the size of the coloumns made of rose granite and wonder about how they were built. It is breathtaking believe me. Hard to visit at the current time, but a treasure all the same.
