Tenerife
Review of Tenerife (Spain) by Nickilouise

Advantages: Food, Weather, Beaches.
Disadvantages: Taxi drivers.

Been going to Tenerife since I was about 8. I am now 25 and my partner and I go every year as do my parents and their best friends. My sister tried Cyprus this year and regretted it, wishing she\'d gone to Tenerife. On first leaving the airport you\'ll wonder what you\'ve come to, looks like what you\'d imagine the moon to look like as it\'s volcanic. This wondering will soon depart as you move further and see look around. There are soooo many yummy ...
...main reasons why we return every year. The las Vistas beach at the front of the Los Cristianos/Las Americas border is great, there are lots of lovely shops, bars and restaurants here but it\'s not noisy, just relaxed. Take some excursions into the mountains. Visit Masca and eat in on of the canarian restaurants there. Beware of Taxis-the drivers are insane!! Otherwise, brillioant holiday for the whole family. ... Tenerife Catamaran
Review of Freebird One Catamaran Cruise by marmy1

Advantages: hot sunshine, sea life
Disadvantages: can get too hot if there is no breeze

I have been going to Tenerife for the last 5 years and every year it is not complete without a trip on the catamaran. Going out to see and seeing all the lovely whales and dolphins in their natural habitat is amazing. They look so free and happy that it makes the whole trip a pleasure.Put that together with the free food, drink and the beating hot sunshine this is definately a trip to take. They also have sun cream experts on board who do actually ...
...really bad heat rash which was turning into water blisters all over his chest. This lady gave him some cream that would help this go down, protect him from the sun and also still let him get tanned. The products were definately worth the amount we paid for them. The trip costs around 40 euros each and you have the choice of going on a 3hour trip or a 5 hour trip. I went in May this year and can not remember if the trip goes from Porto Colon in Las ... Aqua park tenerife
Review of El Marques (Tenerife, Spain) by marmy1

Advantages: great day out for the family if you love water slides
Disadvantages: can be expensive if you eat in.

I have a timeshare in Tenerife in lovely resort called Island Village. The resort has 5 levels and we have a place in level 1. This villa is near the main shop on the resort and also right near the main swimming pool and restaurant. Our villa is situated opposite a place called aqua park. At aqua park there is the opportunity to watch a dolphin show and the change to have your pictures taken with the dolphins. You can not get in the water with them ...
...become ill. This costs around 50euro. In order to get this sone you have to pay an entrance fee of around 20 euro and then pay for the pictures. This gives you a free pass for the following day (or a day of your choice) to return to the park. Along with the dolphin show there is water slides and a lazy river. All of these activities are included in the price. The one thing i would advise is that if you are going as a family a cheap day would be ... Read review

Castillo San Miguel
Review of Castillo San Miguel, Tenerife by mrsmopples

Advantages: Superb horses and some great eye candy for the ladies
Disadvantages: Horrible fod, revolting wine, uncomfortable seats and miserable staff

Castillo San Miguel Tenerife. Links: http://www.castillosanmiguel.com in English, Spanish, French and German. http://www.teneriferesorts.com/any/trwmiguelcastle.aspx Whilst on holiday in Tenerife this summer 2007, our tour representative did a reasonable job on her sales pitch by convincing me to book another of her excursions. Not only had I just booked a Catamaran cruise for an afternoon but I had now also paid my euros to spend an evening ...
...Object of the Evening*** Castillo San Miguel covers approximately 6,000 square metres and is constructed of Canarian stone, towering more than 16 metres high. The Castillo San Miguel is home to the "Count Don Rodrigo" and this daughter the "Countess" who are played by actors naturally. The idea of the night is that both of them are here to enjoy an evening of fun and games (no frivolity) performed by their own colour coded knights. These tourists' ... Read review

Tenerife (Los Cristiano's)
Review of Tenerife (Spain) by sammyj14

Advantages: fun, popular, great nightlife, pretty, good beaches
Disadvantages: touristy

Whether you enjoy Tenerife or not I feel depends on what you want out of a holiday. I stayed in Los Cristiano's. It is a convenient location close to the airport (about 20mins drive) and you can get anything you may need there. It does have some nice shops to nose around and there are ample restaurants to eat at serving a variety of dishes from all around the globe. But on the whole I found the place rather touristy. With quite a lot of souvenir ...
...with singers singing your all time favorites and karaoke. Tenerife does have some great beaches with fantastic views. It is a prettier island than lanzarote not so baron. Los Christiano's is a really fun place and offers an enjoyable holiday but I do think this depends on what you like. ... Read review
