Tenerife Hotels

Definitely not one for people wanting some peace!

Advantages: Close to the beach and all the amenities.
Disadvantages: Noise, cleanliness, safety.

...stayed at the Paradero I apartments in January 2008. I was a little disappointed upon viewing the apartment. It wasn't very clean and the patio door safety consisted of a bolt lock and a pole (to stop the door from opening). We went out onto the balcony(which is shared with the rest of the floor) and there was dog poo on our grass area. The general cleanliness of the whole apartment wasn't great either. ...sun loungers too. The apartments are VERY noisy at night, as you're only a stones throw away from veronicas strip. The noise didn't stop until about 7 or 8am. There's also a pathway to the back of the apartments that they reccommend you don't use after dark, which is understandable as there seem to be quite a few unsavoury characters residing in Playa De Las Americas. I wouldn't stay at Paradero I again, we stayed at Las Floritas the year before ...

Review of Apartments Paraiso del Sol y Paradero, Tenerife

An Oasis? Oh Yes!

Advantages: Gorgeous surroundings, peaceful and tranquil, large well equipped apartments
Disadvantages: Card payment system, no cash allowed, no air conditioning!

The Oasis Golf Resort can only be described as perfect for a holiday retreat. As soon as you enter the complex you are greeted by the most helpful of staff and the most beautiful of surroundings. The reception area is lushly deisgned complete with chirping birds. Within this area is a very secure safety deposit system where you can be assured our precious belongings are safe. ...food in the restaurant is of high quality, with a good level of choice and at a reasonable price. Drinks are also reasonably priced. Moving on through the reception and you are greeted by the wonderful sight of a large family orientated swimming pool complete with jacuzzi area and separate kids pool. The place just oozes fun. Lovley Hotel

Advantages: Gorgeous pool, lots of things for kids to do
Disadvantages: A little out of the way

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel! we were 4 20 something girls last year and got a very cheap deal (Fly Globespan £99 for ten days including flights!) - and it was a great decision! Hotel's a bit out of the way of the main tenerife nightlife (had to get taxis up and down to the path/veronicas/starcos etc) but if you had more sensible shoes you could walk it! The actual hotel is lovley, its huuuuuuuuge! lots of steps though so if your not great ...
...nice and had a lovley balcony over looking the pool, balcony was very big with access from both the living area and the bedroom. Entertainment we only saw a few times in passing but it has the usual family cabaret nights. kids disco, a snake show etc bar was lovley and not too pricey either. Seem to be a kids club as well. Small supermarket attached prob was a little dearer than the main supermarkets down the hill but fine for little essentials. ...

FRIENDLY HOTEL

...ABOUT 6 TIMES WITH OTHER BARCELO HOTELS IN THE CANARIES, CANNOT FAULT THE HOTEL GROUP. ON ONE VISIT TWINS WERE ONLY 18 MONTHS OLD, STAFF BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO HELP, EVEN WITH FEEDING! WENT BACK AGAIN WITH THIRD CHILD, SAME FRIENDLY STAFF, WILL GO BACK AGAIN IN AUTUMN, FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING, SMALL POOL WAS LOVELY AND WARM, AND SUITE WAS AMAZING. KIDS CLUB WAS VERY GOOD, EVENING ENTERTAINMENT WAS OK, BUT THE STAFF TRIED VERY HARD. AND THE KIDS ENJOYED ...

Excellent hotel and facilities

Advantages: Lovely hotel in a nice area
Disadvantages: Could possibly have better evening entertainment

We have been to this hotel 3 times now and it just gets better. The hotel staff are friendly, especially the bar and restaurant staff, who can't do enough for you. The rooms are bright and airy and have fridges which are really useful for storing drinks. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds. Admittedly you have to be down early to secure the best positions round the pool but there are usually enough everyone, even later in the day. The ...
...Breakfasts consist of eggs, bacon, sausage etc. or cold meats, cheeses, etc or pancakes with syrups or all different fruits and breads. Evening meals are cooked in front of you i.e. steaks, chops, casseroles etc., 2 or 3 different types of fish, all the usual vegetables and salads.
