The Med Palace - Tenerife Advantages: Fantastic surroundings, brilliant staff, clean hotel Disadvantages: None! My partner and I (both early 20's) have stayed at this resort twice, both in and out of the summer season and I would recommend not only the hotel but the area itself to anyone thinking of going. Stunning beaches, great night-life for all ages and beautiful restaurants surround this grand hotel, with the bustling Las Americas resort a 10 minute walk one way and the beautiful Los Christianos 10 minutes the other. H10 Las Palmeras, Tenerife - A1 Property Advantages: Located next to beach Disadvantages: None that I could see This is a lovely hotel. One of many on this Island. I wanted to let you know what I thought about it. I am in the Travel Industry so can be quite critical. Well here goes - *********LOCATION******* The hotel is only 15 Km from Tenerife Sur Airport making the transfer quite short. This was great after a 4 hour flight !!! I ... ...beach is just through a gate at rear of the pool area and The Veronicas and Starcos clubbing areas are about 5-10 mins walk away, as are a good variety of restaurants. *******ROOMS********* The room we had was slightly larger than most basic hotel rooms and we also had a fridge in the cupboard free of charge. FRIENDLY HOTEL Advantages: FANTASTIC LOCATION AND FRIENDLY STAFF Disadvantages: COULD BE CLOSER TO BEACH ...ABOUT 6 TIMES WITH OTHER BARCELO HOTELS IN THE CANARIES, CANNOT FAULT THE HOTEL GROUP. ON ONE VISIT TWINS WERE ONLY 18 MONTHS OLD, STAFF BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO HELP, EVEN WITH FEEDING! WENT BACK AGAIN WITH THIRD CHILD, SAME FRIENDLY STAFF, WILL GO BACK AGAIN IN AUTUMN, FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING, SMALL POOL WAS LOVELY AND WARM, AND SUITE WAS AMAZING. Excellent hotel and facilities Advantages: Lovely hotel in a nice area Disadvantages: Could possibly have better evening entertainment We have been to this hotel 3 times now and it just gets better. The hotel staff are friendly, especially the bar and restaurant staff, who can't do enough for you. The rooms are bright and airy and have fridges which are really useful for storing drinks. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds. Admittedly you have to be down early to secure the best positions round the pool but there are usually enough everyone, even later in the day. The ... ...Breakfasts consist of eggs, bacon, sausage etc. or cold meats, cheeses, etc or pancakes with syrups or all different fruits and breads. Evening meals are cooked in front of you i.e. steaks, chops, casseroles etc., 2 or 3 different types of fish, all the usual vegetables and salads. They have show cooking round the pool once or twice a week. There are plenty of activities for both children and adults in the day. Nice and Cheap Classy Hotel Advantages: very nice hotel Disadvantages: away from the nightlife/bars stayed at this hotel five years ago this Christmas, by myself and enjoyed every minute of it !!! The hotel is situated on the Avenida Rafael Puig which is the main road that seems to run through Playa De Las Americas, it is quite large, over 200 rooms and it seemed to be unusually quiet, but that maybe because a lot of the guests are retired Germans and not drunken louts. my room was situated on the first floor overlooking the avenida rafael puig ... ...front of it. the room was very clean with en suite bathroom, double bed and safe in the room also. The evening meals were nice but a bit samey after a few days, if I recall correctly there wasn't a buffet, it was a waiter taking orders. I didn't take breakfast there as I was out with friends until 6am. It is not near the Veronicas area so I was taxiing most of the time to the nightlife.
