Now Tenerife may not be the most glamourous of destinations, depending on who you talk to you may hear it described as little more than 'Blackpool with sun' but people who say that are usually mono-syllabic morons who've probably never ventured further afield than the George and Dragon 'English' pub in their pre-chosen, package deal resort. There is, however, a lot more to Tenerife than that and I, for one, really like it.
The thing ... ...kingdom and effectively it divides Tenerife in half giving seperate and distinct landscapes and climates to each half. The north side of the island bears the brunt of the prevailing Atlantic winds so it's generally wetter, greener and breezier than the south which, thanks to being shielded by Teide, is distinctly hotter, drier and more desert-like. ...is only one place in Tenerife and that is Playa De Las Americas. LOCATION
Tenerife is one of the Canary Islands and is situated in the Mediteranean Sea. And is somewhere south of Spain on the way to Africa. Las Americas is in the South - South West of Tererife and is a short drive from Tenerife South Airport. Playa De Las Americas neighbours Los Christianos and has a great view of Mount Teide. See sightseeing!
LOCALS
The locals are very friendly ... ...because the tourists make Las Americas thrive and make the locals rich or whether they are genuinly friendly people, Im not sure but they made our stay fantastic with there knowledge sharing and great conversations.
HOTELS

...we were pleased to discover Tenerife was bathed in sunshiine although it was quite windy but that made the temperature very pleasant.
The Canary Islands have been a popular holiday destination for many years due to the mild climate especially during the winter months. It lies west of the coast of Morocco and started as a volcano. Tenerife is the largest of the Islands and has been described as being ladle shaped, but I think it looks more like a ... ...which was sea bass, and Tenerife wine we only paid about £30 for two people. One night we went to a Chinese restaurant, the food we had was excellent " A Peking Rice Banquet", but they had the tables very close and did a very fast turnover, no sooner had you laid your fork or chop stick down , but the plate disappeared an another waiter produced the next course! No Manyana here! As in Gran Canaria the "papas arrugadas "with mojo sauce are a popular ...
