just for you, this is the spot No1 for climbing in Brazil, although the 2
Paulistas we met on the bus told us they used to go to Argentina for "serious
climbing". Despite Teresopolis being quite modern, the path are not easily
marked. There are plenty of local guides offering their services. They tend to
show all different kind of identification badges. We joined a group of French

There are quite a few paths you can follow into the mountains, or, better, the jungle. If you like climbing, Teresopolis is just for you, this is the spot No1 for climbing in Brazil, although the 2 Paulistas we met on the bus told us they used to go to Argentina for "serious climbing". Teresopolis is nestled in the mountains not far from Rio de Janeiro. I like nature and I went there for this reason. There is a National Park there with a swimming pool, perfect combination in the Brazilian summer. I stayed at Center Hotel, which should not cost you more than $25-30 for a double these days. I went once for dinner at Tigre do Papel, a Chinese restaurant, but I would not recommend it since it was nothing special. You have to pay for ...
