Terra Mitica, Benidorm, Costa Blanca

...was a pleasure to visit Terra Mitica whilst I was there, on both occasions. Terra Mitica is a theme park that is located just on the outskirts of Benidorm, you see it clearly as you are coming from the airport on the journey to Benidorm as it has the words Terra Mitica embedded into the rocks, kind of like Hollywood style and when that captures you attention you can see a huge wooden roller coaster. It always seems rather empty on both occasions when I have visited there however they must be doing okay for it to keep going and the amount of tourists that visit there over the year must be quite a lot. Disadvantages: Compared to other theme parks- Very dissapointing overall

We went to Terramitica for a day in August with our two kids aged 7 & 12. during a holiday to Benidorm. We decided that for a break one day, we'd try "Terramiticca" We've done Disney, Epcot, MGM studios, Port Aventura and we've also gone to other theme parks in the Far East as well as the usual ones at home- We always have a ball- Until we went to Terramittica. It certainly looks impressive on the drive up, but once there, it's a huge let down. ...
...from the car park in the heat to even get to the theme-park gates, it was very expensive and quite honestly once inside, there wasn't much at all that we could describe as exciting! Advantages: Theres a lot more than just rides, not many people there so you dont queue for long!
Disadvantages: the Biggest ride can be inactive for a few hours while the park gets busy and spanish kids have no manners so they just push in!

Disadvantages: You need to be prepared to do a lot of walking

Terra Mitica is a fun holiday experience. When we visited it last year it was really quite busy. On entering the park you will see statues of Egyptian Gods and walls decorated with heiroglyphs. Having been to Egypt I can tell you that the look of these things is extremely realistic. There are lots of fun things to do, even if you're not into funfair type rides. ...problem that I found with Terra MIttica is that it is spread out over a large area and that means lots of walking about. This is not so good if you have problems walking, nor if you have very young children. On the other hand there are a number of stop and rest places, several of which have a stall selling drinks or ice-cream.
