What does it look like? """""""""""""""""""""""""""""" As you approach the Park the first things you notice are the 'Magnus Colossus'(a sort of run away train) and the large 'Terra Mitica' sign that is carved into the mountain behind the park. The whole park looks great and new, as I think it's only been open around 1 year.
What is the layout like? """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Unlike some parks(like 'Alton Towers'(which is spaced out so it looks bigger)), 'Terra Mitica' has excellent layout so you aren't likely to miss anything out as it is set out so you sort of follow a trial taking you through everything. And the rides aren't just one after another, there'll be a ride, the a restaurant or show place, then maybe some sort of game area.
1.Egypt Egypt is the entrance part of the park and its main attributes are
The Falls Of The Nile The Port Of Alexander(The
start of the boat trip)
It also contains the usual, toilets and had a tourist info desk
2.Greece Greece is the second part of the park and contains
Tritons Fury SynKope
and toilets etc.
3.Rome Rome is the third part of the park and has these things in it
Magnus Colossus The Flight Of The Phoenix most of the little rides The Main Show arena
and toilets etc.
4.Iberia Iberia is the fourth part of the park and owns
The Tizona Has the FREE Car Park next to it The Moll(the Boat Trip)
and toilets etc.
5.The Islands The islands are the centre of the park and the last park of it, they contain
The Rapids Of Argos Various show's
and toilets etc.
What are the rides like? """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" There are approximately 7 main rides.
1.The Magnus Colossus The Magnus Colossus is the longest ride of 'Terra Mitica' and is a sort of 'Run away train'. the track is made entirely of wood and nails, only the cars on it have metal on. it feels very unsafe but I think that is probably the point of it. when you reach the highest point of the ride, you can see all of 'Terra Mitica' and 'Benidorm'.
2.The Flight Of The Phoenix The Flight Of The Phoenix is 54m free-fall ride at a stunning 100KM/H speed. it takes you up to the top where you can see at of the park and Benidorm, then after a few seconds just drops you. It's a truly amazing experience.
3.The Tizona The Tizona is Terra Mitica's version of the 'nemesis' at 'Alton Towers' but 7x better. The ride whips you round corners and out of steep drops at up to 60MPH. and one part in the ride you are heading straight towards the track and you think you'll crash, but at the last minute it spins you upside down for the most thrilling experience of your life.
4.The SynKope The SynKope is a sort of giant sized pendulum that swings you at 90KM/H. As well as swinging, you also spin round the main pole that you are connected to so you can see all around you as well as having fun on this great ride.
5.Tritons Fury Tritons Fury is like a log flume but can hold up to 30 people, it crashed down into the water twice(if I remember correctly) at high speeds, a very essential ride for hot countries as it cools you down a bit
6.The Rapids Of Argos The Rapids Of Argos are another water ride which is also an interesting sight seeing trip, near the end though you have to go through the horror of people being able to pay 1€ to use a water gun to spray at you.
7.The Falls Of The Nile The Falls Of The Nile is Terra Mitica's log flume ride. there are two falls on this ride, the first being a 20m fall and the second a 10m backwards fall. a very exiting and wet ride.
Are there any kids rides? """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" For most of the big rides there is a little kid version so your little ones don't get left out.
What about these shows you keep mentioning? """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" In Rome is the 'Imagina', the main shows' area(designed like a coliseum). When I was there, me, my sister, and brother-in-law went in and saw a show of the history of the world. There were trapeze artists, acrobats, tight rope walkers, astronauts, contortionists, and many more, and all this was cleverly fitted in under 30 minutes. there is so much goinon on in this show that you cant keep up, your head just cant handle it, you look at one thing but miss another, we saw it twice but still didnt see it all, thats just how amasing it is, words just cannot explain it, you have to see it with your own eyes to understand.
There are also many shows' where the actors just pop out in the middle of the streets to do amazing shows'.
In Iberia There is the 'Redbeard' show about pirates and a monk, even though it is all in Spanish, you can understand what is happening by how good the actors are. there are lots of fight scenes in this one but when we went to see it someont acidentaly kicked a pirate in the face which was quite funny, there were some bits which reminded me of the matrix!
How about the restaurants? """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" There are about 3 restaurants in each section of the park, they sell fast food things such as chips, burgers, pizzas, and chicken nuggets, although it is a bit expensive, it is decent quality food.
But is it worth the cost? """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""" It is definitely worth the price of Adult 33€ Junior/Senior 25€ Disabled 21€ for one day, but don't pay the full price, you can always get discounts from coke bottles', street props', special offers', hotel reps', etc.
What is parking like? """""""""""""""""""""""""""" There is a massive car park with hundreds of free spaces or if you prefer bus or taxi, there are bus stops and taxi parks not far from the entrance.
Are the queues long? """"""""""""""""""""""""""" In 'Terra Mitica' you are unlikely to have to wait for longer than 10 minutes, usually it takes under 5 minutes.
How does it compare to other parks? """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Compared to places like 'Alton Towers', and 'Pleasure Island', 'Terra Mitica' outdoes them by miles and feels a lot safer, it is clean, tidy, and very well kept!
Over all it is a very good and well maintained park, highly recommended
