We went to Terramitica for a day in August with our two kids aged 7 & 12. during a holiday to Benidorm.
We decided that for a break one day, we'd try "Terramiticca" We've done Disney, Epcot, MGM studios, Port Aventura and we've also gone to other theme parks in the Far East as well as the usual ones at home- We always have a ball- Until we went to Terramittica.
It certainly looks impressive on the drive up, but once there, it's a huge let down. First of all, there was a gruelling 25 minute walk from the car park in the heat to even get to the theme-park gates, it was very expensive and quite honestly once inside, there wasn't much at all that we could describe as exciting!
It's meant to be themed on different countries Egypt, Iberia, Rome (Italy) Greece, and it's islands.
Compared to say Port Aventura on the Costa Dorada Terramitica is a huge let down!
We went right round it, saw everything and apart from a boat ride, there seemed to be little if no transportation to take you round, but then we must have forgotten that it's the hardy souls who go to Benidorm., they have to sweat it out and walk all the way in 35 degree heat! In some areas, there were some attempts to cool people down by having small covered walkways which covered you in a very fine mist of water- Some poor souls who didn't know better thought this was amazing, but really it was a futile attempt to compensate for the lack of any kind of respite from the heat.
There were the usual assortment of rides some were better than others, strangely, we thought "Iberia" was the poorest and the kids wanted to spend most of their time in "Rome and "Greece" where the rides were a bit more exciting. We really were not impressed at all and felt that there could have been better use of this huge area- perhaps they'll build more rides/shows in future.
At least we could have something to eat though, because according to the guidebook, Terramitticca has some "fine dining" We opted for the italian restaurant reputed to be the best in the park. We got there to find that in fact the "Italian Fine Dining" was in fact a filthy restuarant with ciggarette ends all over the floor, harrassed staff and a menu which was anything but inspiring. The whole place stank of stale ciggarette smoke- my eyes were stinging within seconds of being there! There was no way we were eating there, but the only other places on offer were cheap burger/hot dog and chips places where you had to stand in a queue then sit at long tables which were filthy and strewn with other peoples uneaten food and drinks containers, dirty ashtrays and even dirty babies nappies! They clearly hadn't seen any kind of detergent or cleaning for a long long time! It was trully awful and needless to say we didn't eat there either.
If you don't know any better or you're not theme park-goers then I guess Terramitica might well impress you, but you needed to be hardy to enjoy this place. Walking everywhere with no respite from the heat or anywhere to have anything half-decent to eat (not everyone wants hot dogs/burgers & chips!) was not our idea of a great day out. As is everything in Benidorm, it is overpriced and definatley not worth a second days entry-fee!

Advantages: Theres a lot more than just rides, not many people there so you dont queue for long! Disadvantages: the Biggest ride can be inactive for a few hours while the park gets busy and spanish kids have no manners so they just push in!
